[Moon 11 - Foredeck] Getting a good whiff

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"A bit I learned about ti from some fishermen in the town I grew up in. Can't name all the rarer fish and the like but I know most of the basic." He scratches the back of his neck with his pipe as he continued. "Did most of it around the Islands too so I suppose I know more about the fish there then along the mainland coast."

[Amaya]

"I'd bet they've got fish more like those round here, honestly, so we'll see," she said, chuckling a bit. "Who knows, though... there's certainly something nice to be said bout havin sushi this fresh, isn't there?"

[Yoritomo Kaito]

The mantis grinned. "Can't get any fresher unless it's still kickin"

[Amaya]

She let out a snort of a laugh and coughed slightly, bobbing her head in embarrassment. "I'm not really the sort t'like biting into an octopus while it's still wrigglin, so I'll pass on that kinda fresh, though I've heard there's folks what like it now n again," she said. "Still, we should eat well n the seas like this. Plenty'f work. Good for the lungs all round."

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"You might want to try em kickin some time. Don't taste too bad though it feels lil weird like they're wiggling in your stomach." Maybe if he could catch some he could introduce the rest of the crew to em. "You're right about the work though always plenty to do on a ship and the sea air on days like this is a wonder. Can't believe some of the people are still wearing the blasted perfume ruins the fresh air."

[Amaya]

"I wouldn't know. Never wore perfume all my life," she said, shrugging and catching herself even as the motion came. it seemed, however, appropriate enough. "I don't try t'stand round samurai so close I catch that good'f a whiff either. Not really my place, ya see."

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"Ah It's just something ya notice during training and in the bunk room I suppose." He hasn't worn perfume either though apparently some of the men around here did. "I just figure they'd notice that all they really smell like after a couple hours up on deck is the sea anyways."

[Amaya]

"Perhaps in a week, that habit will fade. This's not the sorta place that it's easy t'go round in the same way folks do on the shore, after all," she said, not sounding exactly the most sure of her statement while leaning against the railing. She frowned a little. "The trip'll change me. That much I'm sure'f."

[Yoritomo Kaito]

The mantis nodded slightly at that sticking the pipe back into his mouth for a moment. "Likely so Amaya-san but then I figure change is supposed to happen or it wouldn't be happenin all the time."

"As long as it's change for the better ain't generally much wrong with it."

[Amaya]

"Yep. If'n ya don't mind, -sama, I really should get back t'my duties fore the Sergeant finds a reason to start yellin at both of us," she said, turning and giving him a salute, hoping she wasn't being too presumptuous with this one. He seemed the ... reasonable type.

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"Prolly for the best that." Replied the mantis returning the salute and letting the woman go on her way his eyes once again squinting up at the sky.

[Amaya]

"Have a good'n, -sama," she said, bowing and heading back to her duties while trying to remember how the hell to pronounce the man's family name. Long names. Oi.

"May the Kami watch over you." Came Kaito's reply his eye's still on the sea a few moments later he blinked and shook his head. He likely had things to be getting to as well.
