"It... Really? Flowers make it hard to think?" It was a night for all kinds of strange new information. "But it's just perfume. It's supposed to be nice not...not something to addle the mind."

[Hida Musasha]

He shrugs, "Just somethin' else ta get use ta. I ain't dealt wi' it, an' I will hafta learn."

[Hida Sayuri]

"Well...yah. New ship, new lessons, neh?"

She groans. "Like I need to learn some contortionist tricks for a decent night's sleep. You ever see one of them? They travel with shows sometimes, fold themselves into tiny little baskets and the like."

Standing with a pop of her knee, audible above the storm, she adds with a broad grin, "But I'll try'n remember to stand downwind if I've got any perfume on."

He simply says, "a lass yer size would catch attention perfume er not. Take a blind ijiot not ta see ya. The armor helps keep the eyes on yer face, tho. Ain't much else ta keep 'em interested."

"As fer sleepin', I'm out as soon as my head hits the wood plankin'. They used ta say I could sleep while bein' digested an wake up fresh and rested enough ta chew my way out the things gullet."

A sharp snort answers both sentiments. "If yer that easy to distract, might just as well stay belowdecks. Good thing nothin' crawled on board while we were talking, eh?"

"Now if anything crawls on board and eats you in your sleep. I'll be sure ta tell the crew ta wait a bit, or maybe sound a wake-up call and it'll be taken care of." She grins and heads for crew quarters, feeling the first hint of the storm winding down for the night. "Now to find someplace ta dry this and see about squeezing into the tiny box I'm supposed ta sleep in. Safe watch to ya, and I'll see you about in the morning."

"Don' curl wi' yer head upward. A bob o' the boat an' ya might not see anything fer a few days. Sleep well."
