[Day 7 – Early Evening, Baths] Bath before Bloodshed (Open)

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Another favour offered from infiltrating the kitchen Usagi-san? You may very well have your neck on the line if you're starting an unauthorized fire on the ship without Cook's watch." She smirked. "-Ah. Not that you're any sort of scared...so that a favour that might be asked for."

[Usagi Zenko]

He laughs, "Unauthorized? What are you talking about? Its a simple matter of insuring there's extra water when we make the captain's kava." He shakes his head, a grin on his face.

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Now you're sounding almost illicit Usagi-san. They say that a pot is only so big and skimming from it is more than noticed eventually..." Hoshi faded off with faint smile. "-Ah...I think I might be making a big deal from this. I wouldn't mind taking from the captain's kava either, if such a thing was possible."

[Usagi Zenko]

He holds up his hands at that. "Hey, hey. I was talking about using a bigger pot of water. Taking from the captain's kava is an entirely different issue." He shakes his head. "That's not one I'm about to touch."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Hah, that's a pity then. -Ah. On the kava part, not taking from the captain's kava. He's bound to keep track of his own things if he is a Mantis. I haven't enjoyed a good cup of kava in a while, but that's because I had no need for it, not being given the night shift." Hoshi said a touch wistfully.

[Usagi Zenko]

The Hare opens his mouth a moment, about to argue a point, and then closes it. Why spoil a fine evening?

"I'll have to see what's available to the crew."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

Hoshi smirked as Zenko was already comfortable enough to make small offers when he hasn't been in the kitchen long enough for his stripes yet. "Good Usagi-san. Maybe I can make it a morning habit, it'll let me keep later hours."

[Usagi Zenko]

"Mmmm..." he says in response. "We'll have to no longer be on leave... I don't spend much time upon the boat at the moment."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"And what makes you think that our hospitality here will continue into the long term Usagi-san?" Hoshi asked with some seriousness.

[Usagi Zenko]

"Every day we're here, we can learn more information to bring back to the Empire. Why wouldn't we stay as long as we can?"

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"...who says that it's entirely up to us Usagi-san?"

[Usagi Zenko]

He thinks on that a moment... "Hai, you have a point there, Bayushi-sama.."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Good. I'm glad you've realized that." Hoshi smiled faintly and brushed some hair behind her ear, taking a moment to notice her fingers. "Mm. I think I've been sitting here too long already. I'll be seeing you at the meeting tonight then Usagi-san?"

[Usagi Zenko]

"Hai, of course." He winks. "I promise, I'll close my eyes and wait til you leave, no matter the temptation." Chuckling, he the closes his eyes, cocking his head to one side.

[Bayushi Hoshi]

Do you think I didn't notice you dunking your head there earlier? A chuckle seemingly escaped her lips when Zenko offered propriety, somewhat. "Mm...That's gentlemen of you to offer Usagi-san. I don't really have much you haven't seen better elsewhere anyway." She shrugged and left the waters, retrieving her towel again.

"See you later Usagi-san." Hoshi said in casual parting then strolled back to the ladies' changeroom.

[Usagi Zenko]

"Another time, Bayushi-sama." he returns, eyes closed.

After she leaves, Zenko stays a few minutes more in silence, before then leaving himself.
