Strange Brew. [Day 8, Morning]

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi nodded. "It's nothing to be ashamed of, Agasha-san. Fortunes know that you are the only one of us that is aware of how to comport himself in public."

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

"I hardly call dumping the contents of a tea cup on the floor and fleeing the scene to be proper behaviour, Daidoji-san."

Definitely not one of his proudest moments.

[Daidoji Fuichi]

He chuckled. "Perhaps not. I fear this will turn into something like the argument I had with Junpei-san about whose nickname was more embarrassing. You got off nicely in that regard."

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

"I think they would have been less kind if they knew just what subject matter my books covered."

He paused.

"I have made a point of not using the nicknames. A mistake perhaps, but I am not overly fond of naming my clanmate a foul smelling seabird."

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi's eyes widened. "Surely they're not all... Oh, but you're a sly one, Agasha-san." He smirked. "Yes, the nicknames tended toward the obscene in my case. The bushi seem to wear theirs around like badges of honor."

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

He had the manners to look quite embarrassed at having revealed the content of his pillow books.

"Ah yes. Your nickname. I would have hoped they had been more imaginative."

A brief musing.

"Or perhaps less."

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi chuckled. "So many implications, and so hard to protest sincerely. I think only Hida-san failed to guess. Embarrassing, really."

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

"I doubt the nuances of the meanings would have been at the forefront of his mind, no. Still . . . "

A pause, to think of the fallen.

". . . his strengths lay elsewhere and he proved better than any at them."

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi nodded. "What do you suppose will become of us when we get home?"

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

"We will be questioned on what has gone on here. By the Legion and most likely then by our own clans. Most will then join the ships of the Ninth Legion, while some will go for further questioning."
