Cook blinked. "Oh, of course. My apologies." She quickly bustled off to the kitchen where she disappeared for several minutes before coming back out with a pot of what looked like normal rice. Alas, there was no new meat however. She quickly filled the bowls of both samurai and quickly disappeared into the kitchen again.

There it was again. That confused feeling.

"I dont know." She paused, then smiled. "You wouldn't happen to have a storm in your kimono, would you?"

The instant she said that, Seiko realized how wrong it sounded.

Oh, good job, Seiko! Way to behave! she mentally chided herself while doing her best to keep her on intact.

"Peppers are ever hot?" Sugita asks incredulously. "Need to cool off my mouth as much as I need to cool the rest of me. It's really hot down here. Humid after that storm. I think I feel stickier than ever."
