Junpei shook his head, "Though anything is possible, Shinsei was a Rokugani farmer. Still, his wisdom is eternal and there is little doubt in my mind that whatever enlightenment you have found would mirror his teachings to our first Emperor, the Divine Son of Heaven, quite exactly."

[Rixy]

"I wonder if you would take offense if I gave to you some of his sayings?" The woman smiled. "It would be the simplest way to see if the wisdoms are the same."

[Isawa Junpei]

"If you had a translated text, I'm sure we would be happy to examine it."

[Rixy]

Beaming, the young woman nodded. 'I will set the apprentices to it. It will give them a useful task to work upon, distracting them from their worries."

Her own apprentice, who had regained control of himself, grimaced slightly at this news, though happily for him Sabera did not seem to notice.

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi carefully turned his teacup three times before taking another sip. "So, I have heard of a few of your deities so far. They seem connected mostly with abstractions rather than the natural world. Do you have a goddess of the sun and god of the moon?"

[Rixy]

"The Sun is a masculine diety here. He is Surya, he who drives his golden chariot through the heavens, pulled by seven horses that are bound to the chakra, the soul points, of Man. The Moon, too, is masculine, called Chandra. His chariot is pulled by a white antelope and all of the constellations are his brides."

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi smirked. "Lucky man."

[Rixy]

Sabera laughed. "Oh, not as much as all that. His favor to one over another brought him much trouble from time to time."

[Isawa Junpei]

Were Junpei in the mood to glare he would have thrown one at the Daidoji. His growing indiscretion, and especially in front of gaijin, was becoming embarrassing. One simply did not make sly sexual references in civilized conversation. He could forgive the gaijin, she didn't know better, but Rokugani were held to a higher standard.

Setting the matter aside with another sip from his teacup he rested it in his hand rather than back on the table, "In truth our Sun and Moon have been man, woman, neither, and both."

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

Qian-Fan merely sipped his tea. He'd experienced the Daidoji's behaviour before. At least this time he hadn't dropped the cup.

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi nodded in agreement, partially oblivious to the ill-will his bit of levity had earned him.

"and their marital strife caused the birth of the human race, as well as the foundation of our society with the Fall of the Kami. It is a great tale, all the more so for being so true."

[Rixy]

"Creation tales are often interesting. Ours can confuse even the birghtest novice, however, and so I will not vex you by trying to explain."

The young boy nodded. "Too many are just names for someone else and figuring out who's actually who takes ages."

Sabera, chuckling, patted the boy's shoulder. "Indeed."
