Good to have the Sea Below Me (Day 7, Morning, Open)

Postby Jayant Utpal » Thu Sep 22, 2011 10:30 pm

Jayant was once again aboard the Half Moon. This time, feeling a little more bold, he had opted to climb up to the crow's nest. A fairly simple task for an experienced sailor like himself. The Rhuumali now stood as high as he could go, staring out at the sea that could be seen outside the walled harbor. Though occasionally his gaze turned to the ship below him to watch the samurai and their servants move about the deck as they prepared for the day.

Jayant smiled slightly at feeling back at home, even if it was a foreign home. It was the closest he was going to get for awhile.

Walking along the deck, looking for some fun comes Kakita Sugita. Maybe a swim, or some practice, or a game, or looking out over the harbor from the nest. He looks up absently while thinking about it. And a sight makes him double take.

"Doji's giant bosom!!!" He curses. Why is the damn gaijin here?! Sugita's face immediately becomes cold. There will be no ascending the rigging for now. But who knows what that gaijin is up to? Best get a servant to watch him and yell if he does ANYTHING. Then I'm going to go find Seiko-chan, or Itsuho-chan. I'm bored.

/exit the now bored AND mad Kakita

Below, the form of Amaya saluting the raging Crane could be seen. She remained at attention, watching the ropes and keeping to her duties. She was on call to make sure that the port side stayed servicable since things were going a bit haywire shoreside, just in case they needed to leave in a hurry. It was a good idea to stay on top of that, unless she was called elsewhere.

Jayant looks down and recognizes the Crane just as he disappears back below deck. He raises an eyebrow, then glances over to Amaya as she comes up. Once it looked like nothing else was going to happen, Jayant turns his attention back to the harbor.

Amaya gave a grunt in the direction of the monkey that had apparently merited a modicum of acceptability. Taking up her position, she watched the townward direction and kept an ugly look set on her face, licking her lips once or twice. She didn't like this, not one bit.
