[Day 6, Early Afternoon, Open] Taking a Dip

[Kakita Sugita]

"Eh?" It takes a moment to figure out what she meant there. Confusing reigns and only slowly does it dissipate. "Oh! Pfff. No problem. Sugita is fine." He waves the notion away.

[Mirumoto Itsuho]

Itsuho gave a bow of her head, but soaked and lightly dressed and bobbing on the waves, it lost much of its solemn nature. "Arigato, Sugita-san. I would feel bad if you did not call me Itsuho in return... though you are not a man that uses names much I've noticed." She smiled softly.

[Kakita Sugita]

"Nah. Not when we're the only ones here. Unless I had some kinda pet name for ya. But that would just be ta make fun." To emphasize a point with humor, Sugita looks down into the ocean. "I told you she wouldn't know that I was actually talking to you."

[Mirumoto Itsuho]

Itsuho decided she was rested enough and pushed off to float on the ocean once more. It wasn't stable land, but it beat constantly being on the Half Moon. "A pet name, hm? I suppose I should be glad to not have one, at least for now. I'm not quite ready to join such... illustrious company."

[Kakita Sugita]

Nod. "Such illustrious company as my family's dogs and my younger cousins."

[Mirumoto Itsuho]

Itsuho nods and smiles as she just floats a little more. "Hai, like them. I had heard that no dog in all Rokugan is lovelier and better trained than a Kakita dog... though perhaps that was just a swordsman. Perhaps both."

[Kakita Sugita]

"It's said that Kakita are best at everything. At least, whatever it is, you can find a Kakita who claims they're the best at it!" He says with a smile. Sugita is the best at taking his Clan's arrogance in stride. "Our dogs are also huggable, love giving kisses, and like getting dirty. That a position you think you'd fit into well?" Sugita follows the Dragon as she floats. He treads water, staying close by. Close enough to have his smirk be obvious.

[Mirumoto Itsuho]

Itsuho glanced over, her smile turning slightly wry. "Mmm... only one of those fits me Sugita-san, at least in my limited experience. Though even then, I wouldn't say I like getting dirty."

[Kakita Sugita]

"If you don't like getting dirty, then that one obviously doesn't fit you. Maybe if you loved getting dirty I could stretch the description." Sugita raises his eyebrows questioningly.

[Mirumoto Itsuho]

"I appreciate getting dirty for a good cause Sugita-san. That's about as far as I can stretch it. The other two... the former isn't for me to decide, and I don't love kissing. I just like it." She gave a small smirk.

[Kakita Sugita]

Heh. I see. This one's a subtle tease. "We're stretching all the qualifiers now, aren't we?" SIgh. "I'm sorry. You don't qualify as a dog. But you've got something almost as good."

[Mirumoto Itsuho]

Itsuho gave a soft laugh, slipping off her back to just treed water again. "Perhaps I should be thankful that I don't qualify... though what DO I qualify for then Sugita-san? Younger cousin?"

[Kakita Sugita]

"No no. Those are on level with the dogs, the mischievous critters. You," he says with emphatic gestures, "are a witty, sexy, and fun woman. Those always rate high! Rare as they are." Sugita always has the honesty part down. The timing, delivery, and all that proper etiquette stuff are beyond him. Bad Crane.

[Mirumoto Itsuho]

Itsuho raises an eyebrow at that, though that light smirk remains on her face. "And here I thought I was a dull meditating, practicing, Tao reading woman. I'm glad to know I'm quite diverse, Sugita-san." She paused a moment, then reaches out, pinching Sugita's nose firmly between thumb and finger. "You, Sugita-san, are a trouble maker, but you are a handsome, honest trouble maker. I could certainly live with that."

[Kakita Sugita]

"Hey. I need that," says Sugita. "I bear scars of my trouble making. Hasn't cost me my nose yet. What would that do for my handsomeness?"

[Mirumoto Itsuho]

"Becoming noseless?" She lets go and just swims in place once more. "It would certainly be awkward Sugita-san. I have not met many without a nose though, so I can't say. I wouldn't recommend it either way."

[Kakita Sugita]

"I'd think not. You know, I missed something on my assessment. You also lack a mirror. In the metaphorical sense. Maybe literal too."

[Mirumoto Itsuho]

For the first time in a while, Itsuho looks genuinely puzzled as she looks at the Kakita. "Literally, hai, I do. I don't have a lot of need for one. I am guessing, however, you meant in another way, one I'm not sure I understand."

[Kakita Sugita]

"Because what I said would be obvious. Obviously." He replies grinning.

[Mirumoto Itsuho]

Itsuho just continued to look puzzled. It was obvious that she didn't understand a word of what Sugita was saying as she floated there.
