After the sudden storm of the day before, the sun dawns red and bloody upon the horizon. The air is crisp and brisk with the wind blowing in from the sea, pushing the clouds away towards the forest beyond the walls of the city. The coolness doesn't last, however, and its warm by midday with a muggy humidity that's helped by the occasional puff of wind. Mist rises an hour after sunset, thick, heavy and concealing.

Events of Note

Not long after the rising of the sun, an announcement is pinned on the inside of the Embassy's gate written in a stark elegant hand and bearing a heavy gold stamp from the 'emperor' of the land that looks rather official, impressive and just a touch gaudy. Beside it was a smaller and less ostentatious Rokugani stamp bearing the Uminushi's name and rank within the Imperial Legion.

By Order of the Maharaja,

No foreign priest is to call upon their spirits and gods without the express permission of either the Maharaja, his esteemed Council, Uminushi of House Yoritomo, Kaimenko of House Moshi or O-washi of House Isawa. Any foreigner found practicing their magics outside the presence of one of these representatives will be put to death.

No foreigner is to enter any of the city's defenses without a kshatriya escort. Any foreigner found in one of the city's defenses without a kshatriya escort will be put to death.

No foreigner will be allowed to go armored in the city of Lanka. Any foreigner found in defiance of this edict will be placed under arrest.

Whispers: Ship

Tensai are frightening. Yesterday, Fulmar came riding in on the storm and fell to the deck of the ship. I didn't hear what he said to O-washi-gunso but whatever it was it wasn't good because that's the angriest I've ever seen him and I still remember when he received news that Kyuden Isawa fell. I mean, did you see the waves??
