Day 3, Late Evening/Midnight, OPEN, Cleaning and more sake?

[Shiba Nozomi]

The slight woman hesitates before answering. "Hai, Y-Yoritomo-san. Webbed hands, sh-shining scales, eyes the color of a sea st-storm... d-do you believe in such t-tales?"

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"Some of them Shiba-san others ya can tell are likely just stories but a few all seem to hit some of the same points, so it's likely not just a coincidence." It likely helped his belief that he had seen a Orochi before and they were said to be allies of the Ningyo. "Would ya want to meet one if ya could?"

[Shiba Nozomi]

She glances at him from under her bangs, her voice sounding a little odd. "Ano... s-somehow I don't doubt I w-will. Maybe one d-day I can tell you ab-about it... neh?"

[Yoritomo Kaito]

The mantis flashed a grin. "That would be kind of you Shiba-san, though I don't know if we will be serving together any longer I'd like to hear about it. Mayhaps you can try to sen me a letter if nothing else?"

[Bayushi Nobuyoshi]

Nobuyoshi apparently wasn't particularly interested in tales of sea creatures or letters, simply busying himself with armor and weapon maintenance.

[Shiba Nozomi]

"If you'd l-like." Seeing as none of the rest seem interested in such conversation, Nozomi untucks her book and begins to flip through, trying to find a particular page.

[Yoritomo Kaito]

Kaito nods and seeing the Shiba delving into her books focuses on his own work, weapons didn't polish themselves after all.

[Bayushi Nobuyoshi]

Not really looking up from his weapon, Nobuyoshi addresses the Phoenix.

"What are you reading, Shiba-san?" he asks in his normal disinterested tone.

[Shiba Nozomi]

"A b-book my sensei lent me. It's a t-treatise on the how and wh-why the ability to speak with the k-kami runs more st-strongly in certain bloodlines. And wh-why it almost never shows up in o-others."

She flips another page and seems to locate the part she'd been looking for.

[Bayushi Nobuyoshi]

Clean, polish, clean...
