"Maybe they keep a bit of local food 'round here. If not, there's always goin' down to that tea house or somethin'," again, she shrugs. "I tried the local food an it ain't that bad. As far as what happened," she starts off down the hall, glancing back for a moment to make sure Hoshi's following, "I can only tell ya a bit. Don't know much."
"See, we heard ya never came in last night so me, Himiko-san, Kichirou-san and Kiyo-san went lookin'. So 'ere we are, Himiko-san and Kiyo-san ain't wearin' armor, Himiko-san ain't got no weapon. Kiyo-san's got an unstrung bow. Kichirou-san and I got a daisho and I 'ave my groomin' knife," she sets the scene and pauses for a moment, looking to make sure none of the guards were wandering nearby. "And 'ere comes this Kasuga from the embassy a screamin' in the streets, throwin' out insults. Starts talkin' 'bout us bein' ignorant, claims the translator the Embassy sent with us is the Ambassador's scribe and that that peasant's worth more than we are."
"So I turn at him and start givin' him a piece of my mind. He gives me this bullshit line about how are half-armored, barely armed group of crewmen are lookin' like some war party and gonna scare the 'dumb as sheep' barbarians. So I'm figurin', at first, maybe he's onta something. I mean, he does live and work 'ere. So I agree to come on back, take off my armor and maybe drop off my groomin' knife; sure as shit ain't walkin' 'round this place with no daisho. Himiko-san though wants to just keep lookin'. So 'ere goes the Kasuga again, a bitchin', pissin', and moanin', calling her every word for stupid under the sun and sayin' she's likely to get gutted just like you. So I tell him, if he keeps it up I'm-a 'ave his ass called before the Ambassador and the Cap-ain for all the shit he's talkin'. But since he's takin' our translator and we can't be wanderin' without one, we get Himiko-san to come on back 'ere and I go about takin' off my armor. Was gettin' ready to go out lookin' again when I 'eard you was back in-house."
Yakusoku stops again, raising a large, calloused fist and shaking it a bit beside her head. "I shoulda popped that slimy, rat bastard in the mouth for actin' like that. Sayin' us Imperial Legionairres ain't no better than some peasant and that you was likely dead in the street somewhere," she sighs, lowering her hand. "But I kept my cool this time. Still, even though he says that ya told off his boys when they wanted to send someone wit' ya when you was 'sneakin out' last night, I think they shoulda at least insisted on a translator or somethin', ya know? Ya can handle yer-self in a scrap, but we ain't exactly Lanka experts 'round 'ere."
Once again she starts off down the hall, making sure she isn't going to bump into anything, or anyone, before starting to walk backwards. "Other than that, I don' know much a what's goin' on. Didn't really learn nothin' yesterday so I didn't go to no meetins' 'bout what people were figurin' out."
