[Day 3, mid-morning, closed] Fishing fish.

[Shiba Naomi]

Another shake of the head.

"No... I didn't. Good friends and such, but no one like that... not like your Hana..."

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

"Well... it's not like I am going to shame you, running away with her..." he muttered. "I do what I must."

[Shiba Naomi]

"I know."

She glanced back at him with her eyes lowered. "But... it must be awful for you... having to marry someone like me."

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

"It's not like I have a choice, neh." he chuckled. "Don't worry... I will... make things right."
Like get you out of the kitchen, to start with.

[Shiba Naomi]

"... I will be a good wife," she said quietly, but with an edge of determination in her voice.

Not that I know much in some departements of that job, but... if he has a lover, maybe he wouldn't mind terribly if I... no, no, I shouldn't think about that.

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

Iuchi regarded the girl with a smile. "I have no doubt about that. I am sure you will make a good wife. My father picked you, after all, in a way."

[Shiba Naomi]

"Well, not really... I've never met him, so he only had the word of my father to go by. I suppose father must've made an impression on him," she wondered what the two had told eachother of their children in this matter.

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

"Erm... well... " While his father had always had a good business sense, pointing this out to her didn't seem prudent. At least in this context. "Well, your father must have put up a good word for you then, as you said."

The man too, wondered that had been transpired between the two men. His father didn't get drunk often, but it would have explained few things.

[Shiba Naomi]

"I don't see why he wouldn't... isn't that what fathers do for their children?" she asked as if it was a natural thing to do, as she began to pull her line back in.

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

"Of course." the man nodded. "No luck with the fish then?"

[Shiba Naomi]

"I think the fish might still be asleep, or already had their breakfast," she said with a small smile.

"Not a lucky morning, it seems."

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

"I guess we better head back then... " he murmured. "It's not like we do not have our duties to attend."

[Shiba Naomi]

"Hai, you're right." She agreed.
"Let's try to do something like this sometime soon though. It would be nice to talk more in private..."


With those words, they returned to the Half Moon.
