Day 2, Late Evening/Midnight, OPEN, Polishing my sword....

[Ichiro Yakusoku]

"As far as dangerous animals?" she ponders for a moment, "we dealt with a couple of bears during our mountain training. Wolves in the lower hills as well." Shrugging Yakusoku takes back the shochu bottle, setting it next to her cup. "The stories aren't that exciting all in all. In the Ichiro lands, the terrain may be more dangerous than the beasts that live in it."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"You'll find that I'm a hard person to bore Ichiro-san." She smirked a touch and glanced to Nobuyoshi, who could feel different when it comes to stories. "If bears and wolves are regular annoyance compared to rough terrain, then we'll perhaps have to ask stories of the land another time."

[Ichiro Yakusoku]

Yakusoku chuckles. "They'd mostly be tales of people climbin', and fallin', in some rather unforgiving mountains. There's a reason most Badger can fight on the side of steep hills like they're nothin'."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"With so much of a focus on mountains, Badger sailors like yourself must be a true anomaly. Unless they have fight while riding the waves too."

[Ichiro Yakusoku]

"That trainin' does make it a bit easier for me to run about on a shaky boat," she nods, "but hai... not a whole lotta Badger sailors. Just happened to be where I ended up when I was workin' with the Crab. From there, got sent o'er here."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"That explains how you've ended up in Sunda Mizu Mura from one corner of the Empire, I didn't think there was a lot of ocean up north. It's good to hear that the southerners haven't given you a hard time."

[Ichiro Yakusoku]

"Nah, the Crab like and understand the Badger pretty well all in all. Any grief I was givin' was just bein' the new girl on ships fulla Crab sailors."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

That accent doesn't sound earned. "Quite a lucky assignment for being more than half way across the Empire. But now...I don't think distance matters so much anymore considering where we are now." She smiled for a moment then bowed to excuse herself. "And with that, I think I'll give calling it a night. Thank you for your generosity Ichiro-san. And good seeing you again Bayushi-san."

[Bayushi Nobuyoshi]

If his counterpart's departure from the conversation seems unusual to Nobuyoshi, he gives no sign, other than a polite return her bow, and then taking up his equipment again to work on it some more. The conversation had gone off in a direction not really of his planning, and so he uses the pause in the other Bayushi's departure to let the Badger try a conversational gambit.

[Ichiro Yakusoku]

"Badger always have a few of us that go off and work with the Crab, just like any other clan," she shrugs. "Most of'em are assigned to the Wall but there's always a few endin' up somewhere else."

As Hoshi excuses herself Yakusoku offers her a bow and slight smile. "Of course Bayushi-san. Was nice talkin' to ya." With that the young woman lapses into silence, seemingly indifferent to the Scorpion's sudden departure. She wouldn't strike up conversation; not yet, anyway. For now the silence simply feels more appropriate.

[Bayushi Hoshi]

And it seemed that Hoshi left a void of silence behind.

Well not utter silence. There's the wipe of cloth on metal, and the various sounds of one taking apart, and reassembling his armor. Though it does seem like unless the badger says something, Nobuyoshi's happy to work on his equipment in such silence.
