There are a total of eight watchposts set up around the city. Three of them are at the harbor, the other five are on compass points around the city. These watchposts are hastily built out of thick planks of hard wood, meant to offer at least some resistance in the event of an attack. Each watchpost has ten men stationed there.
The largest of the watchposts is a small fortress made of stone that currently serves as a barracks. This watchpost is stationed due North of the city itself and has 40 men stationed in it. It has a tall spire several stories tall that one can climb up and see out for miles as well.
Each Watchpost is set up outside of the city walls. Two concentric circles which enclose the city at varying points. The outer wall is larger and stronger, built out of thick stone and towering 50 feet into the air. With obvious signs that it has been built more recently and is still in good shape. Every 500 yards there is a guardhouse at the top which can hold 16 men at a time and has stairs leading to the ground.
The inner wall is smaller not only in size but also serves to separate the old city from the new. This wall has mostly fallen apart from disuse, and several guardhouses have fallen into ruin completely. Most of the gates have been torn our long ago leaving wide passes that are easily accessible to anyone. The wall looks as though it is centuries old and has not been in proper use for decades. Only 20 feet high, with rubble in some places making it seem more like a mound than a wall, it looks like there is a lot of work to do on this inner wall.
