[Moon 17/D2, Evening, Open] Dinner on Deck

[Asahina Narumi]

"That is a lot of travel," the priestess replies. Speaking on the topic of war was probably all well and good with a Crab or Lion, but she didn't know about a Dragon. Best to talk more about something less likely to upset someone. "Have you traveled much?"

[Mirumoto Itsuho]

The girl gave a small shake of her head. "That depends on how much one might consider an amount of travel a lot. I have been all over northern Dragon lands, for my duties, but other than that, I came straight to the coast after that to take my assignment aboard this ship. I have never seen lands outside of those immediately around the path I took to the coast."

[Usagi Zenko]

Zenko nodded. "Many of my clan have gone north as part of the Minor Clan Alliance to fight in that War, although I was not so honored to be amongst those Ozaki-dono sent. No..." he bows his head to them both, "I've been but a shrine guard at Shiro Usagi, at the shrine to Inari-kami."

He gestures to the rice with his chopsticks, before eating a bit of it.

[Asahina Narumi]

Narumi listens as the two speak, turning to Itsuho to reply, "It is more than me. Just a few places in Crane lands and then the road to the Half Moon."

"So you volunteered tor the Imperial Legions to be more involved?" she asks Zenko in a pleasantly curious tone?

[Usagi Zenko]

He shakes his head, chuckling a little. "No, not exactly volunteered. A thief attempted to take an offering given to Inari-kami out of his desperation." His anger at the thief's actions is clear in his tone, "In chasing the thief, I ran into, and then knocked over, the palanquin of one of the Otomo, who was passing through Shiro Usagi."

He pokes his rice a bit. "After I caught the thief and the Otomo found out what had happened, he...secured me my place in the Ninth, as a reward."

"Its quite an honor...even if I do miss land every moment of the day and night." He goes back to eating his rice for a little while.

[Mirumoto Itsuho]

"Many different people have traveled down this path that I believe would normally never even think of it. The Legion has need of those with talent and will, and I have not met any on board the Half Moon that have lacked that at least." She seemed finished with her own meal, just sipping at some water now as she sat back.

[Usagi Zenko]

Zenko took some time processing those words...perhaps trying to verify if they were meant for him.

He nods. "Hai." Then continues with his meal.
