Day 1, Late Evening/Midnight, OPEN Cleaning before Bed

[Asahina Narumi]

"Everyday a farmer must solve his own problems. Aiding him during times of hardship is Compassion, and this aid is the generosity that you mentioned. A Compassionate samurai would also aid the ailing bandit as well, for sure, as they freely give of themselves to others."

"Back in two creeks I would often make rounds of the city, helping the sick and unfortunate however I could, regardless of station. Giving medicine to an ill eta to help with a cough, tending to a farmer's injured horse, or providing divinations to a traveling ronin that might help him on his journey. It wasn't about station or caste, it was about improving the quality of life of those who could use the help," Narumi replies with a smile.

[Bayushi Nobuyoshi]

Having made sufficient progress on the arms and armor for tonight, Nobuyoshi offers a bow to both of the samurai-ko present.

"Bayushi-san, Asahina-san, thank you for a pleasant evening of conversation. he offers. "Also, thank you for the delightful sake, Asahina-san."

"If you'll excuse me, I think I'll retire for the evening. I'll look forward to future conversations."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

She's an Asahina... "I have little doubt that Asahina-san is a staunch practitioner of Compassion. She's an exemplar in that regard from her service at home." She showed a small smile. "Being here though, must be far different than Two Creeks ne?"

"Sleep well Bayushi-san." She returned the bow to the departing samurai.

[Asahina Narumi]

"You are quite welcome," Narumi replies to Nobuyoshi. "I hope you're sleep is restful."

"The setting is certainly different, but I hope to only allow it to change me for the better. Even if the captain does not feel me cut out for service at sea, I will do my best and take the lessons to heart. I will try to remain as devoted to others as I can, however." She smiles once more to Hoshi. "I imagine service on the Half Moon is different from what you are used to?"

[Bayushi Hoshi]

Hoshi drifted her gaze to the room before returning her attention to Narumi. "Hai, in some parts of it. I'm not used to having my post moving while I stay in one place, nor being around to so much saltwater either. Freshwater experience counts for very little on the open seas. I'm used to busier, but in a different way. Spiritually, it's all the same really and I like the company here. Mm...even if there's a lack of hot tea to share with said company."

"Yes," Narumi agrees. "The company is interesting. With such a mixture of the great clans it is a new experience."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Interesting company in another setting too. It's far different than just a conventional court with the same company too. Maybe one of the places where the Divine Empress's current vision of the Empire is enforced."
