Moon 18 - (9/12 - 9/13)
Dawn turns the soft fluffy clouds in the sky hard shades of red and purple. The wind has changed directions and blows from the north west, warm and wet. It brings with it a promise of rain later in the day, with the promise fulfilled in the late afternoon and early evening with intermittent showers. The rain is soft and warm and not really a hinderance.
The clouds clear around midnight to reveal the baleful eye of the Moon as it comes close to its full glory. Shortly before dawn, a thin wispy mist rises to shroud the fleet.
