Relaxation (Day 1 Late Evening open)

[Moshi Chihiroko]

"Hopefully they'll learn a few things before we dock. Otherwise this is going to be a long treacherous journey." Another sip.

"What are you hoping to gain from this trip, Yoritomo-san?"

[Yoritomo Kaito]

He shurgged slightly as he looked into his sake cup. "Experience likely Moshi-sama. The clan got this commission for me likely so I could learn a bit more about the empire and the different clans in it." He grinned slightly as he took a sip of sake.

"Might be that they thought I could learn a few tings as well our clan can't always be thought of as uncouth pirates and the like after all."

[Moshi Chihiroko]

That got a chuckle out of her. "Uncouth pirates, huh? I don't think we'll ever be known as anything but. Too many Mantis live up to the stereotype."

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"True enough Moshi-sama, though I suppose we ought to be able to know enough not to look like uncouth pirates.... from a distance at least." He took a long, slow sip from his cup. "Though really I can't be bothered with being anything but what I am."

[Moshi Chihiroko]

"Me neither. Something my father always told me. Be true to myself." She popped a few bones in her neck. "And each day I learn something new about myself to be true to."

[Yoritomo Kaito]

That made the Moshi sound entirely too complex but the Yoritomo wasn't going to say so she was fairly pleasant company after all. "Almost always nice to learn something new Moshi-sama." He said after a moments thought. "Ya mind me asking why you figure you were sent here?"

[Moshi Chihiroko]

"I asked to be. Got a recommendation from my last Captain and here I am. You?" She looked over at him.

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"A recommendation as well Moshi-sama." He replied having thought he had told the Moshi as much earlier but deciding he likely hadn't been clear enough. It seemed to be somewhat of a recurring incident aboard the ship. Maybe I should write out instruction manuals for my speech.

He took another sip from his cup and looked up at the stars considering his options for conversation. "Who all do you have on your shift anyways? Aside from the two you named that always seem to argue that is."

[Moshi Chihiroko]

She paused to think for a moment. "Shiba Naomi-san, Yasuki Himiko-san, Mirumoto Itsuho-san, and Matsu Iori-san. Right interesting lot."

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"Sound's like is Moshi-san, I have Fulmar, the lil lion princeling, Akodo Amuro and Bayushi Hoshi." He replies. "A somewhat stodgy lot all things considered"

[Moshi Chihiroko]

"Fulmar? The Lil Lion Princeling? I'm assuming these are nicknames like Spooks?" She looked mildly confused.

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"Ah yeah yeah heard em being bandied around the decks. Fulmar would be Isawa Junpei-sand and the Princeling as he is called Ikoma Hikaru-san." The mantis explains taking another sip of his sake. "Course Fulmar is more or less always flying so I don't really get to speak with him and Ikoma-san sticks to himself."

[Moshi Chihiroko]

"Any idea how they got these nicknames? Can't say in all my years I ever had a nickname that I knew about." She frowned as she contemplated her last statement.

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"Well Isawa-san is easy enough Moshi-sama. He was sea sick for most of the first week aboard and he flies.. much like a fulmar. As to Ikoma-san I'm not too sure myself but he seemed a bit haughty during training." He explained to the young woman. "Generally speaking though you got to do something that makes you stand out to get one I reckin"

[Moshi Chihiroko]

Laughing at the Phoenix's nickname, she shook her head. "I'm not so certain I want one. You?"

[Yoritomo Kaito]

Kaito shrugged. "Some of them aren't so bad, ya just have to make sure you get a good one." He said with a small smile. "Though I figure Fulmar could tell ya it's not a easy task to do."

[Moshi Chihiroko]

"I suppose so." She paused and finished the sake in her cup. "Well, I also suppose that I should be turning in. Duty comes early tomorrow."

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"True enough Moshi-sama, best not to drink too much either." He replied as he drained his own cup and bowed politely to the young woman. "Have a pleasant sleep."

[Moshi Chihiroko]

"And you as well, Yoritomo-san. I look forward to seeing you again." Chihiroko offered him a bow before setting off toward the Quarters.

"Likewise Mishi-sama." Kaito said as he glanced into his empty cup for a moment before refilling it one more wouldn't hurt after all.
