[Yoritomo Uminushi]

"Only if you don't mind it flying off. And they're a handful when you're climbing the rigging," he replies easily. His eyes shift as a wicked gleam enters their depths, "... I fear I'm one of those men who lack an appreciation for cultivated pallors."

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

Rinzuki sighs softly, though in a good-natured way. "I suppose I shall simply have to accept the fact that I will be getting something of a tan. It was bound to happen sooner or later anyways."

As Uminushi mentions his distaste for cultivated pallors, she turns her arm over to reveal the smooth, pale skin of her wrist and lower arm. "Is that so, Yoritomo-sama? I must seem a bog hag to a man of your tastes."

[Yoritomo Uminushi]

"Ah! Your tongue is sharp Iuchi-san! What is a poor sailor to do?" he sighs, shaking his head in a woebegone manner, though that gleam never left his eyes. Uminushi recovered quickly, a cunning look on his face as he teased Ronzuki, "Besides, if stories are true, bog hags only select the most comely of maidens for their victims... yes?"

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"If that is the case, Yoritomo-sama, then why would I be spending all my time up here with two handsome men, and not down on the deck with Moshi-sama?" She tilts her head a bit to the side and smiles the most innocent smile she could muster. "Unless you plan on telling me that you are a maiden...?"

[Yoritomo Uminushi]

Uminushi gives the Iuchi a blank look before chuckling and shaking his head. He doesn't bother to explain the joke, rebounding rather quickly as he winks, "I still think you'd give Kaimenko-san a run for her money, bog hag or no."

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

Rinzuki smiles softly as she leans against the side of the table. "Thank you for the compliment, Yoritomo-sama. I had expected to find a boat filled with rough and tumble sailors, and yet their captain has the tongue of Bayushi himself."

[Volsung]

Soyoko had gratefully returned to examining the maps while the two spoke and chuckled with his commander. He is equally silent as to what the joke is though.

The reminder of his own sailors brings to mind the fact that there are so many women on Uminushi's ship now. One guess where his men were going to be requesting to spend more time.

[Yoritomo Uminushi]

He shakes his head, chuckling, "... if that is what passes for a compliment now a days, I fear for the vaunted culture of our beloved Empire."

"Nonetheless, I thank you for your generosity," Uminushi finishes with a wink.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"Perhaps Yoritomo-sama will have the opportunity to show me what he believes true compliments to be." She takes a slow step forward, well inside his personal space...and then glances towards the door, which he was blocking. From this close, her lavender perfume was almost intoxicating.

"For now, though, perhaps I should leave you two boys to your maps? I feel as if I might be distracting you from important work."

[Volsung]

Soyoko looked to Umi for a moment, frowning some but still saying nothing, at least not while the Iuchi was here.

"Hai, we have much work to discuss Iuchi-san. If you do not mind." He glanced to her, which wasn't too hard considering how close she was to the other captain.

[Yoritomo Uminushi]

He shrugs with an impish grin, "Perhaps. Fortunes favor the bold after all."

"But alas, Soyoko-san is right..." he sighs and shakes his head. Uminishi takes a step forward in to her personal space. It wasn't close enough for them to touch, but certainly made it difficult for her to hold his gaze without tilting her head back. It did, however, leave her enough room to go around him and through the door. Not once did that smile waver, "And we do have important matters to discuss. I pray the rest of your day is diverting, Iuchi-san."

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

Rinzuki allows her head to crane upwards, her eyes never leaving his own. "Yours as well," she replies, before holding his gaze for a moment longer before turning away and stepping out of the room. The scent of lavender lingers in the room even after Rinzuki has left.

[Isawa Junpei]

Just outside the door, Rinzuki was greeted with a quick bow before Isawa Junpei shuffled past to head into the map room. He held his arms close to himself, making his otherwise accentuated frame appear subdued and small. Approaching the captain for the first time was certainly not something he felt he was prepared for, but he'd made his bed already. Peering inside he knocked against the wood attempting to alert the two sailors to his presence, "Excuse me...Yoritomo-taisa?"

[Volsung]

Soyoko watched the woman leave and slowly shook his head. Looking back at Umi it looked as though the other captain was about to say something until Junpei entered the room. The Yoritomo managed to not grumble and roll his eyes in annoyance at being interrupted once again.

[Isawa Junpei]

Junpei immediately regretted taking this course of action, offering a small bow of apology, "Oh, excuse me, -samas, you're busy. I'll come back later."

[Yoritomo Uminushi]

"Well, that was certainly something," he chuckles after Rinzuki leaves. Uminushi starts for the table, only to stop when the door swing open and a voice calls. Unlike Soyoko, he was the picture of patience as he turns and greets the Phoenix affably, "Isawa-san, good afternoon... what can I do for you?"

[Isawa Junpei]

"Oh, nothing that can't wait until later," he continued to incline his head in deference, slipping his hands into his wide sleeves. "I'd just thought to offer my papers to you in person, a touch fool-hearty in retrospect. No doubt you're more accustomed to having Moshi-sama deliver them to you."

[Yoritomo Uminushi]

"... I'm sorry? Moshi-" he looks a bit blank before his eyes widen with realization, "Blessed Fortunes! She was the one greeting recruits this morning?!"

[Volsung]

Soyoko tried very hard to not laugh at that rather hilarious sounding predicament. "You didn't see any fleeing back where they came from after she talked to them did you?"

[Isawa Junpei]

Oh no, a joke! What do I do? Play along? Be serious?

Raising his gaze a touch he offered a faint smile, "No, Yoritomo-dono, but then I wasn't in her presence very long, she seemed most keen on getting us to other places on board. It was efficient if nothing else."
