[Day 6 – Early Afternoon] Local Fishing

[Bayushi Hoshi]

Hoshi smiled faintly behind her mask when the story wasn't received so well, then again it wasn't supposed to be a well received optimistic tale. Perhaps a good lesson when it came to sacrificing for love. She gave a small shrug with one hand, as if saying 'what can you do?'. "Gomen Kaiu-san. There are bound to be happier stories when it comes to bridges, one of the bridges in Ryoko Owari Toshi. Where love is love and not otherwise."

[Kaiu Seiko]

"It is not the fate of those foolish to fall in love that I wish to avoid considering," Seiko replied sincerely. "That the concubine should wish a release is... understandable. But in so doing she fell prey to Desire, as did her young lover."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"And it cost them both in the end. Or they could be together, however you think the other realms are treating them. There are just too many parties in that story to blame. Desire is a creature on its own, especially in Ryoko Owari Toshi."

Hoshi lifted her line from the water, merely to show that there was nothing on at the end. "-Ah...and...it seems that there aren't any fan on that badly told tale either. Perhaps I should leave fishing to the asashigaru for the day."

[Kaiu Seiko]

"...if you wish, Bayushi-san." Seiko nodded politely to Hoshi. "I think I will try my luck a little longer. Not that I think I will catch anything, but..."

She shrugged.

"...always worth a try."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"After a while...you may find yourself no longer trying catch something but only waiting for someone to catch you." Hoshi said softly as she collected her line, content that she had her fill of 'fishing' for today. The contents of the bowl beside her was tossed into the water, they idea of bringing something back alive was out with it. "But worth a try if it gets you fish either way."

Collecting her things, she bowed politely to excuse herself. "Thank you for keeping company Kaiu-san. -Ah...and putting up with my storytelling."

[Kaiu Seiko]

Seiko quietly nodded, hiding her thoughts and confusion behind a polite mask.

"Carry the Fortunes, Bayushi-san."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"And likewise to you Kaiu-san." Hoshi said with a small smile that was only shown through her eyes before she made her way back up the Half-Moon, at least there will still be fish for dinner.
