[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Namely the defense of the Empire, the interests of the Shogun and the Emerald Champion and through them, service the Divine Empress's will. We aren't meant to be diplomats to a foreign nation, nor try to ensure their best interest. Our service is to the Empire, as soldiers. I hope you understand that even the idea of smuggling refugees is in none of those interests, nor the orders of the Captain. You should drop that thought right away. Perhaps you should evaluate yourself and your care of others before you make such a suggestion that could compromise our mission here." Hoshi took a step closer. "Ne, Daidoji-san?"

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi, uncowed by her little lecture, simply remarked. "I will certainly never mention it again."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Good Daidoji-san, let us hope there will be no reason for me to make mention of this again." Hoshi said in approval.

Her mood brightened again and she continued walking. "Let's get going, you have something important for the Captain."

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi's expression remained pensive. "Hai, let's go."
