Yakusoku had been hoping to hold off until she knew when they'd be hitting the next port. But after a day of listening to the sea carry on all evil-like, she needed a stiff drink. Having fished the bottle of shochu from her backpack, the Badger heads off into the common room. Way she figured it, there'd be others just as uneasy as she was and some of them could probably use a drink too.

Settling in at the table, she sets her things down and then gives the bottle a somewhat annoyed look. "Oh well," she eventually murmurs, lifting the clay jug once again and popping the cork. Rather than fill her cup the young woman simply takes a quick swig out of the bottle then clears her throat. "That's the stuff," she thinks a loud, setting the bottle aside and savoring the warmth in her throat. She had no intention of getting drunk enough. Just drinking enough to calm the nerves and take her mind off that hellish racket outside.

Kaito came strolling down from the deck his evening duty done he was pleased enough to get out of the distinctly out of sorts weather and the general discomfort of the sea of shadows. He had spent the day trying to keep his thoughts off the goings outside the boat and for the most part succeeded.
