(Open to whomever wishes to join...just assume that you've arranged to come out fishing off-camera)

Rinzuki say cross-legged on the small boat, fiddling with some nets in an attempt to figure out which way was supposed to be up. She was dressed in the trousers and sleeveless blue top the Navy had provided her, but had chosen to forgo the white face cream due to the distant setting sun.

"Stupid nets," she grumbles, before casting one into the ocean.

(sure I'll bite but I'm going with we more bumped into each other then worked something out.)

He hadn't expected to see the unicorn maiden when he went to borrow a boat. Figuring fishing was likely something the woman would never attempt. Looking at her for a moment as she fiddles with her nets he represses the urge to shake his head before standing and deftly casting out his own net.

Hearing her grumbling he speaks up a moment later. "If ya need some help over there Iuchi-san feel free to ask. These fishing nets can be right confusing if you've never used em before."

Rinzuki lifts the nets and quite happily deposits them in a heap beside the Yoritomo.

"All yours," she says, a hint of annoyance in her voice, no doubt towards the nets in question.

Kaito represses the urge to chuckle at the unicorns frustration but a small smile makes its way onto his lips anyways. Picking up the first net he makes sure its untangled before handing it back to the unicorn. "Alright then Iuchi-san if you'd watch what i do for a moment i'll show you how it's done."

When he see's that she's paying attention he begins to demonstrate how to throw the net for her. Trying do it slowly and purposefully so she doesn't get lost on the way.

She watches his demonstration carefully, and smiles an amusement once her casts it into the water.

"Yoritomo-sama makes that look so easy."

"That's only cause I've done it more times then I can easily recall." He replies after watching her waiting to see how she did after the example. "You just got to remember to be fluid with the motion you don't want to be overly quick or use too much strength else you'll likely tangle the nets."

"What happens if the nets get tangled? Do you just have to pull them in and sort them out?"

With the net cast, Rinzuki reclaims her position on the floor of the boat, her knees pulled up to her chest.

"Yup and you're likely to get soaked in sea water while doing so." He replied not mentioning that being soaked in sea water usually made clothing like the young ladies stick to her in rather interesting ways. "It's all worth it once ya catch something though."

"I don't mind that too much," Rinzuki admits with a shrug of her shoulders. "Well, I wish the water were a bit warmer, but other than that..."

The mantis shrugged his shoulders slightly if the woman liked being wet well that was fine by him. "To each their own I suppose I don't mind a little water either but I imagine some people do." He replied as he continued to set out the nets. "You don't mind me asking what made you decide to go fishing in the first place do ya?"

"Oh, I just wanted to get away from the boat for a bit." She hugs her knees closer as she watches Kaito work. "I don't mind the rest of the crew, but sometimes a girl just needs a bit of time alone with her thoughts. Or at least, as alone as she can get without floating off to sea."

The mantis nods in understanding. "Everyone needs some time to themselves every once and a while and in my experience fish don't tend to talk to much. So I can understand what you were thinking."

"If ya want to stop talking and think for a bit feel free I'll just carry on with this business." He motions to one of the nets. "Will likely be a bit before they are all set anyways."

"This is quite pleasant." Rinzuki smiles warmly towards the Mantis as she rests her chin on her knees. "Yoritomo-sama's conversation is not bothering me in the least."

She watches him for a few minutes of relative silence. "Does Yoritomo-sama have any children?"

The mantis chuckles lightly at the question. "I'm not quite old enough for the nakado to get a hold of me yet Iuchi-san. So no children here." Not that I know of at least.

"There's no need for ya to call me sama either as we're both hohei after all." He added after a moment

"Yoritomo-san, then." She smiles once more. "Do the Mantis usually get their sailing out of the way before settling down, then? That's what the Otaku do. Well, not with sailing, but..."

"I can't say most of us really settle down from sailing at all, Well at least not most of us men the women tend to for a few years but often times will come back to sea after their children are mostly raised. My last capn was one such lady, she had four children two who were already past gempukku and she was nearing 40 far as I can tell."

He glances over at the woman for a moment curious about the line of questions. "Truth be told I hear Captain Uminushi has a group of lil ones himself and I'd be surprised if he was considering retiring from the sea."

"Really? I did not think him quite that old..."

She considers this for a moment, her thoughts elsewhere.

"I wonder what sort of woman she is..."

"I couldn't right tell you much about her you'd have to ask the captain. From what Ol' captain Saotoshi used to tell me though she'd have to be a hell of woman if she wasn't originally a mantis to put up with a man of the sea."

"Why would you say that?" she asks, a definate note of curiosity in her voice. As she waits for a response, Rinzuki rolls over onto her stomach and props her head up on her arms, her feet kicking slowly in the air as she watches Kaito.

The mantis was a little nervous at all the young woman's attention but he continued his work somewhat absentmindedly as he answered. "Well when I asked the Capn that very thing he told me this." The mantis paused for a moment before continuing. "If you will excuse the roughness of the words Iuchi-san the Capn could sometimes be quite.... blunt in his speech."

He said before clearing his throat and begins what was likely a impersonation of this so called Capn Saotoshi "Well lad... er Lady there are two reasons why its hard for a woman to marry a man of the sea. First one is because soon she'll come to realize that the man will always love the sea more then her. The second is soon after that the Lady will learn that you'll likely spend more time on top of the sea then you will on top of her as well."
