Once more Kaimenko was up with the dawn. She finished her Sun salutations and stretched, muscles moving beneath tan, golden skin. Absently, she pops her neck and turns to wait for the other half of the new recruits. All and all, the last batch had been rather promising. Not too many idiots to weed out, which meant that this group was going to be a trial and a half.

As the day before, the woman was shockingly barefoot. A short sleeved top was tucked into a pair of fisherman's pants, both of simple cotton in shades of gray and green. She leans against the railing, fingers drumming on the wood.

"'Morning, Moshi-gunso..." Qulan was one of the first to arrive, bowing to the Moshi as she fell back and waited for the others. She wasn't quite shocked at the clothing choice of the woman.

Jishaku was sure to be amongst the first to arrive today. Yesterday's lesson had been fun, although the ashigaru had taken a little too much delight in giving him a beating. Clad in only his hakama, and also going barefoot, the bruises of the day before were prominent across his bare chest. He bowed respectfully to the Moshi. "Gunso."

Xiao Hua was present as well, not that he had a choice. "Morning, Moshi-gunso." he greeted her, bowing, his voice failing a little.

Rats..

The man, having observed the demonstration yesterday, stood on the deck barefooted, wearing only his kobakama and gi. The farsee occulum he had left with his other possessions, though he did have his satchel with him.

Daidoji Fuichi arrived, dressed in his more run-down robes from when he was a water-lugger at Shinden Asahina. Not for the first time, he thanked Hotei for the peace that an early growth spurt had given him at this point in life.

He bowed respectfully to his superior. "Good Morning, Moshi-gunso," he said before quietly and (hopefully) unassumingly taking his place in the group.

Kaimenko didn't really acknowledge their greeting. Acknowledging each and every one of them was a waste of breath and nodding would just give her a pain in her neck. Her eyes flicks over the assembled group, before pining the lone Crane, "You, Daidoji-san... where's your cousin?"

Kaito was the next to arrive his own tanned chest bare to the elements this morning. His eyes combed over the group for a moment before he bowed politely to everyone. It was likely some of they people here were going to enjoy quite a few burns over the next few days as they got used to the new attire.

The Daidoji looked up. I have a cousin? Oh, the moustache-man!

"I do not know, Moshi-gunso. Perhaps he got confused and joined the other group?"

Masamichi arrives a few moments late, looking a bit lost. He wears a loose, thin jacket open to expose his chest, a well worn hakama and bare feet. He bows to the instructor before stepping back into the group, giving her his attention.

She gives the Asahina a stern look when he appears, but turns back to the group as a whole. Kaimenko takes a look at their choice of clothing and starts a bit dryly, "Well, at least this proves you lot have the sense to listen to each other. Right, who wants to start us off with all the reasons why pretty silk kimono and hakama are not fashionable on a boat?"

Qulan raised her hand slowly, looking sternly straight-forward.

Masamichi looks a bit puzzled about why he got a stern look out of the assembled group.

"Shinjo-san, you are not a child," she informs the Unicorn with a hint of sarcasm, "If you have something to say, open your mouth and say it. That is, unless someone else has their gob open or I'm trying to teach you lot how to not fuck up too much in the days to come."

Jishaku was glad his hakama weren't the pretty silk ones he would have been wearing had he not fought in a naval unit previously. Rather than pipe up with the answer he looks to see if the Unicorn will finish, or if the gunso has cowed her.

Rinzuki arrives only a few moments late, dressed once again in her sleeveless, two-layered white kimono. White cream was smeared on her face, neck, and shoulders, but other than that she seemed to be enjoying herself.

At least Qulan didn't seem hurt by the surly Mantis' words. "Alright... Silk is something you wouldn't want to wear on a boat for many reasons. In particular, it catches wind really easy, it could act as a sail during a wind storm and knock you clean off the boat. And it's really heavy when it gets wet."

"Good, any other reasons?" she asks as she shifts her feet slightly apart as the boat gives a small buck.

"Sea water will erode it fairly quickly gunso." He rolls easily with the deck, enjoying the sensation of being at sea.

Qulan thought a moment before responding, but the lion was just a bit faster. It was odd to see a Unicorn so used to the sea.

Rinzuki looks down at her kimono with a look of contemplation upon hearing all this new information.
