[Moon 8: Early Evening - Aftdeck - OPEN] Gazing.

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

"Or then you find yourself scrubbing the pots with the eta..." he shot back.

[Yasuki Himiko]

"Oh come on now," she said with a laugh, "I'm sure the Cap'n ain't that heartless. Ah'm sure I'd just be moppin' up the place for a week or somethin' like that."

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

"That doesn't sound particularly enjoyable either.." the man chuckled. "Better just not to annoy him, I'd wager."

[Bayushi Kichirou]

The civil and enjoyable conversation shared between the Unicorn and Crab is marred....though only slightly by Kichirou's appearance. Up until now when his stomach had been overcome by the pitching and rolling of the sea he'd found the aftdeck the best spot to blow.

Tonight however it was inhabited and his boots slipping along the smooth deck, white knuckles gripping the rail and upper body pitching over it to empty his 'dinner' into the ocean below did not make the most glorious first impression. Still as he recovered he did his best to salvage the situation with a quick bow to each of the samurai that turned his face a bit green before he swallowed (subtly) whatever was about to come up.

"Bayushi Kichirou, I don't think I've actually gotten to speak with either of you." he says by way of greeting one hand still gripping the railing for all he's worth.

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

Regarding the man with a curious glint in his eyes, the Unicorn greeted him, nodding as he did so. "Iuchi Xiao Hua. Well met."

[Yasuki Himiko]

"Yasuki Himiko. You aight, Bayushi-san? Seem like yer havin' some difficulty there." The grin on her face suggests that she's not exactly sympathetic to the scorpion's plight.

[Bayushi Kichirou]

"Yes thank you Yasuki-san. I will manage given time I'm sure." Kichirou offers with a weak smile just as his feet slide him a few feet backwards along the deck his grip on the railing managing to keep him from falling flat on his face.....though only just.

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

"Never been on a ship before, Bayushi-san?"

[Bayushi Kichirou]

"I have not Iuchi-san." Kichirou manages to get out even as he slips a bit, "I am finding the task of finding my feet a bit....slippery." he says with a small smile, "Fun though."

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

"Just wait until we hit the first proper storm..." the man chuckled, offering a sympathetic smile as he did so.

[Bayushi Kichirou]

"I can hardly even imagine it. Before the trip that brought me here I read up on the sea and stories of the terrible storms that can wreck ship and man alike." Kichirou says with maybe a little too much excitement.

As he finished speaking his stomach decided it had had entirely too much excitement already and forced him to empty lunch over the railing as well. Coming back to the here and now he bows again a bit sheepishly, "I apologize for my demeanor, acclimation is proving....slippery as well."

[Yasuki Himiko]

Himiko laughs aloud at the Scorpion's misfortune. "From what I hear, acclimation's th' easy part, Bayushi-san. Better be gettin' ready for a rough ride."

[Bayushi Kichirou]

"Worry not Yasuki-san. I've been told I'm quite stubborn for a Scorpion. I will find a way to survive I'm am sure." he offers with a nod and small laugh of his own. At least he understood the humor of his own situation....right?

[Yasuki Himiko]

"That's good. Maybe ye'll get over that sickness and actually be able to do something useful." There was a certain tone in her voice that suggested she doubted it.

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

"Eventually you will." the Unicorn nodded sagely. "It just won't be smooth sailing."

[Bayushi Kichirou]

Kichirou grins a bit wider but shakes his head...albeit slowly, "Eventually is not fast enough Iuchi-san. I appreciate the words of encouragement but if I am to be of use faster would be better. I think my best course of action is to throw myself headlong into this circumstance and trust the Fortunes have a destiny for me that precludes my death in the immediate future."

[Yasuki Himiko]

Himiko grins widely at that. "I'd stay away from the railing if I were you."

[Bayushi Kichirou]

"Oh?" The Scorpion questions as he takes a deep breath and pulls his hand off the railing. The pitching of the boat forces him to slip off his footing a bit but he maintains his balance, "I suppose there is no better practice than experience eh?"

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

Kichirou grins a bit wider but shakes his head...albeit slowly, "Eventually is not fast enough Iuchi-san. I appreciate the words of encouragement but if I am to be of use faster would be better. "Your wishes and how your humours actually work do not always match, Bayushi-san." the man grinned in reply.

[Bayushi Kichirou]

"A lesson my body has been teaching me these last two days Iuchi-san." Kichirou says with a nod and a smile, "Nothing to be done about that however. All I can control is how I decide to receive each new challenge I find."
