[Moon 15, Morning, Aft deck, Open] Prayers

[Asahina Narumi]

The Asahina watched the exchange passively, with only a slight smile. The conversation was only made confusing to her because the seemed to have some miscommunication.

"Storms at sea? That sounds quite dangerous. I can't imagine that being a great deal of fun but I've not experienced a rough storm at sea yet so I wouldn't truly know." She edges closer to the other two but does not bust any personal bubbles.

[Kakita Sugita]

"I could stir up a storm, if you know what I mean." And Sugita guestures over to Narumi. "And maybe Asahina-san could conjure another kind. ... Possibly the one I mean too."

"That would be interesting."

[Asahina Narumi]

The priestess blushes strongly but rather than her usual smile she wears a look of consternation. He is the least pleasant Crane I've ever met. Does he think these lewd comments are charming? "I believe that I would be just fine without the stirring up of storms."

[Kaiu Seiko]

"I... that..."

Seiko stopped talking, obviously aware that she was having trouble. There was definitely a blush there, although she tried very hard to control it.

That... idea... what he's suggesting...

She stared at Sugita for a moment longer. Then, perhaps before it was safer, she turned towards Narumi.

"I've found that there is nothing quite as much fun as being on a ship at sea in the middle of a storm," she explained, trying to push the Kakita and the mental images he put there away. "Iie, it's not safe... but... it makes one feel alive!"

There was something more animated about the Kaiu as she talked, as if the notion, strange as it seemed, truly excited her and put passion back into her voice.

[Kakita Sugita]

"Yeah... I usually get punched in the face during a storm."

Sugita puts on a big smile.

"Still a lot of fun."

[Asahina Narumi]

This man has been blessed by the Fortune of Persistence. Narumi gives an awkward, concerned glance at Sugita wondering where he is going with this.

She returns her focus to Seiko, "Perhaps I will feel the same after I've been through a storm, but for now all I can do is wonder at how I would remain standing throughout. It seems like quite the challenge. Hopefully Suitengu-kami will bless me to not be tossed overboard during any storms we encounter."

[Kaiu Seiko]

Seiko did her best to ignore the Kakita's comment. But it was obvious that despite her love for storms and her attempt to engage the Asahina in conversation, she had rather failed.

"Er... hai. Standing during a storm can be difficult. Using ropes or something else to hold on to helps. For some, it is just better to be down below, in your bunk." Thinking about how the Kakita would probably turn that comment around, the tips of her ears turned red, but she pressed on. "But going overboard would be bad, hai, although the excitement of the possibility does add to the experience."

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi smiled.
"The thrill of danger is certainly present during a storm. Have you learned to swim, Asahina-san?"

[Asahina Narumi]

"I've been a decent swimmer since I was very young. I love the water, but I've never taken on the challenge of swimming the open sea," she replied.

"I have not, however, learned my way about a ship very well. Hopefully I can catch on relatively quickly."

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi affects a slight shrug. "If I can, then surely it will pose no problem for you."

[Kakita Sugita]

The Kakita finds it all hilarious. He knows what he is actually talking about and what everyone else thinks he is talking about is totally different. And he likes it that way. "I wouldn't want to get blood on my bunk. But to each their own. Personally, I also enjoy swimming. Especially in the wild ocean. Too wild during a storm mind you. Don't try it. You can't. Hope someone throws a rope."

[Kaiu Seiko]

Seiko nodded in agreement with Fuichi's comment. Inside, she wondered if Narumi meant she still didn't have her sea legs. The Half Moon was a big ship... but it wasn't that big.

As for Sugita... Seiko wasn't quite sure what he meant by getting blood on his bunk, and she wasn't sure she wanted to know.

[Asahina Narumi]

"I believe there may be a disconnect with communication, Kakita-san. I don't understand why one would end up with blood in their bed based on your jargon," the Asahina readily admits, with confusion.

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi sighs. "I'll tell you later, Asahina-san. It's disgusting."

[Kakita Sugita]

"Why is that disgusting?" Sugita cocks his head quizzically. "When someone gets hurt, there is blood. Much of the time." Inside, he is grinning into the horizon.

[Daidoji Fuichi]

Fuichi just shakes his head at the other man's audacity. Now, at last, he knew where Kosui and Sanzaemon got their crude jokes.

[Kakita Sugita]

Sugita lifts both hands up in a shrug looking side to side. 'I dunno what this guy is on about.'

[Asahina Narumi]

The Asahina is thoroughly confused, and proceeds to merely maintain her On during the exchange. She has basically given up on understanding exactly what was being said and just hope that it blows over quickly. Smile and nod.

[Kaiu Seiko]

A little unsure what is going on herself, Seiko smiled and bowed.

"Perhaps I should get some food. I have not eaten yet."

It was obvious that she was trying to excuse herself politely, possibly because of the Kakita.

She kept glancing at him at all, as if trying to figure out a puzzle.

[Kakita Sugita]

"Ah, of course. Wouldn't want it to be my fault you went hungry." Sugita goes back to smiling with a completely polite tone. "If you want to reminisce about some good storms; I'm Kakita Sugita, you can find me anytime." With that, he bows.
