The Training Yard is a rather simple affair, with most of the yard being left open to the elements and a fine layer of dirt to serve as the surface. Several dozen training dummies have been set to one side, and a large drilling yard takes up the center of the yard, where most group training takes place. Slightly out of the way there are several circles set up on fields of sand. These fighting circles are generally used for more personal combat training or competition between two warriors.

There is one building on the Training Yard grounds, with a matted floor and several displays of the arms and armor of famous warriors. The area is meant for use mostly when the weather has turned bad enough that practice outdoors is not possible. One wall of the building is devoted to a shrine to Indra, the God of Storms and War.
