(Day 4 Early Afternoon Streets) Pachyderm Parade? (Open)

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

"Ah. I think we'd better find this one something to eat. Either that or it's taking me on a walk somewhere."

He gave Suzuke the 'translate that quickly' look.

The boy was already wrapping an arm around the great creatures neck and tugging. The calf reluctantly lets go of Qian-Fan's arm.

After his arm was released, the Agasha took a step back from the fence but continued to view the elephants.

"I assume there is something in their diet that is an orange colour similar to my robes?"

"I don't think so," she murmurs as she fights to keep the smile off her face, "It just might be that it likes you..."

The boy, after tugging the beast away, saunters back to the two and interrupts them cheerfully. Asking a rapid fire question. Suzuke blinks and shrugs before translating, "He wants to apologize. The young one's are curious about everything... and wanted to know if you wished to ride one of the adolescent ones..."

"Ride?"

The Agasha looked stunned for a moment before recovering with an even bigger smile.

Would I ever! Just point me in the right direction.

"Certainly. Please, lead the way."

There was no need for translation as the boy grins up at Qian-Fan. He scrambles back over the fence and leads them to another area that could only be described as a giant paddock. The gaijin handler opens the gate and ushers the two in before running towards an gray-haired woman working with a larger, but not quite grown, elephant. He calls to her, causing her to look up and smile.

The two speak before the woman shrugs and nods before moving towards the foreigners. She tut-tuts to the adolescent, who follows obediently in her wake.

Qian-Fan tried his best to be the patient foreigner and not bounce like a certain Iuchi as he waited for the animal to approach.

Finally the juvenile stood before the shugenja and the Agasha lead to a gap in the fence. As he made his way towards the elephant, the animal slowly bent its knee and lowered itself. The boy excitedly showed the the foreigner how to climb on, using the harness the creature wore as a means of support.

Very carefully, Qian-Fan climbed up on to the elephant with the not-quite believing this was happening smile plastered on his face.
