Octoponies [Day 2, Early Evening, Closed]

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

With the sunset painting the sky a dozen different shades of orange and purple, Rinzuki and her fishing partner set off from the Half Moon, leaving behind a bustling and crowded kobune for the peace and quiet of the ocean. Once the skiff is a good distance out, she begins to carefully lower clay jugs into the water, taking care to ensure that each one was properly buoyed by a floating marker.

"That should be enough, I think," she says, with one final glance back at her work. "We should have an octopus in no time."

[Shinjo Qulan]

"They really like to get in small spaces, don't they?" Qulan smiled as the last jar was placed in the water. "Like cats. Cats that live in the sea that have eight tentacles."

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"Apparently." She stares up at the sky for a long moment. "I wonder if they can be trained to chase rats..."

[Shinjo Qulan]

"Well, if the rat somehow swims in the ocean, maybe." The Shinjo giggled girlishly.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"Ratfish?" Rinzuki grins as she turns back around to face Qulan. "So, we've got some time while we wait for the octopusses...octopie? Octopusses. Until the tentacle things crawl into their new homes."

[Shinjo Qulan]

"Hmm? Oh, yeah. Time..." Qulan shifts uncomfortably in her seat as she remembers quite a few things.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"Is something the matter?" She takes a seat and leans back, supporting herself with her arms. "You're acting a bit...strange."

[Shinjo Qulan]

"J-just had a weird dream is all..." Qulan kept her gaze on the water. Don't look at her.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"That's to be expected," she says with a faint shrug. "I doubt that Yume-do claims many people upon the ocean, so it has to be extra strange to make up for it with the ones it does."

[Shinjo Qulan]

"Haha... I guess." The 'little' Shinjo still looked away from Rinzuki, eyes on the sea.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

Rinzuki watches her for a long moment. "Last night," she eventually says, "I dreamt that we landed on this big island, with fruit trees and these pretty beaches, and even a small cabin that this handsome castaway had built out of driftwood. I stayed behind to keep him company, but no sooner had the ship sailed away than the entire entire trembled and sank underwater, because it was actually the back of this giant turtle."

She pauses to flash Qulan a smile. "I like turtles."

[Shinjo Qulan]

"Ah... I see." Qulan was still acting embarrassed. "My dream was about... Doji's fan."

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"Doji's fan?"

She just stares at Qulan in confusion.

[Shinjo Qulan]

The Shinjo blinked. "... The one she gave Lady Shinjo when she left for the Burning Sands?"

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"Oh! What's so weird about that?"

[Shinjo Qulan]

"... Nevermind." Qulan's face turned a beet red.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"Nuh uh!" Rinzuki crawls over to Qulan and grins mischieviously. "You started to talk about it, so you can't stop now! Was it a sexy dream?"

[Shinjo Qulan]

"S-sexy dream?" If it were possible that Qulan could get even more red, she would. So the blush just spread down her neck.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"It was!" Rinzuki laughs as she sits up next to her fellow Unicorn. "Well? Details!"

[Shinjo Qulan]

"I... Don't want to talk about it!" The Shinjo squeaked out.
