Shirking the ostentation his Clan favors, the Captain's quarters are deceptively subdued. A thick rug of worn russets and golds softens the wooden floors while his rumpled and unmade 'bed' is hidden behind a thickly embroidered tapestry. Opposite that is a connecting door to the map room, covered by yet another hanging. All the walls are lined with nooks and shelves, their contents held in place by carved screen doors that fit flush with the built-in furniture. Given pride of place in the main display are three rather disparate items: a coconut, a nautilus shell and a ship in a bottle.

The only other thing of note is the carved figure of a tanuki bolted to the sill of the window over the only seating in the room; a padded bench.
