The Night Sky. (Day 7 Late Evening Open)

[Kaiu Seiko]

"I am not about to become one of those characters in a pillow book," Seiko defended herself. "I think it is a little too early for that."

Wasn't it?

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"Not saying you were Kaiu-san." Replied Kaito taking a long drag on his pipe. "From what I heard though people can fall in love at first sight. Course that always seemed more then a little silly to me."

[Kaiu Seiko]

"Well, that certainly wasn't the case with my husband. Never was. So I guess I have no basis for comparison."

[Yoritomo Kaito]

Kaito scratched his chin thoughtfully for a moment. "If it weren't a bit inappropriate I would say you could try kissing him. Seeing as you said your marriage with the husband weren't one of love if the kiss feels different it might mean ya like the man."

[Kaiu Seiko]

Seiko just stared at Kaito. She could not think of anything to say to that.

In fact, she was trying not to think about it. That way she wouldn't have to worry about blushing.

She blinked.

[Yoritomo Kaito]

Flustered a bit at the woman's stare Kaito reached a hand up to run it through his hair. "Sorry if I offended ya with my words Kaiu-san. I tend to be a little bit too frank upon occasion."

[Kaiu Seiko]

"Iie, it's not that," Seiko said. "It's that your comment was-"

Whatever Seiko was about to say was interrupted by a large flash of fire the billowed out from the gaijin ship, a sight so intensive and violent that even the night's fog did nothing to conceal it. The split second after, the noise of the explosion hit, barely distorted traveling through fog and over water.

The Kaiu turned and stared in horror.

"Kami!"

[Yoritomo Kaito]

Having been looking at the Kaiu, Kaito missed seeing most of the explosions it happened. As the sound hit moments later he blinked and looked towards. "What in Suitengu's name was that!?" He asks his eyes wide as he looks towards where the enemy ship had been but moment before.

[Kaiu Seiko]

"That... that's bad!" was all Seiko could manage.

She had never seen fireworks, and so wasn't sure if she was looking at gaijin pepper, of which she had heard a few things, or a spell gone very wrong.

Shaking her head in belatedly response to the Mantis's question, she was otherwise still, staring and silent.

[Yoritomo Kaito]

Glancing from the flaming remains to the crab standing still and staring beside him Kaito shook his head. "Someone ought to go see what happened make sure everyone is save." He replied after a moment. "I think I will go notify Isawa-gunso of what just happened, do you want to take care of that other part?"

[Kaiu Seiko]

Seiko blinked, then just stared at Kaito.

He had asked her to do something. It was something important. Something about going and seeing about giving help.

"-hai! G-good idea, Yoritomo-san!"

With that, she zipped down as quickly as she could.

[Yoritomo Kaito]

Kaito released a small sigh as the lady disappeared as he carefully but out his type. The Gunso probably wouldn't be happy that he had told her to go check on things but he could deal with a little bit of unhappiness. The woman needed to go see if the lad she had in mind was alright she probably wouldn't be any good to anyone here anyways.

Taking a moment more to stow his own pipe he clambered down from the nest to notify the gunso.
