[Moon 19/D4, Early Evening, Open] Self Reflection

[Asahina Narumi]

Narumi sat in the sick bay on the floor with a small plate of dried fish and a cup of water. She is deep in thought as she slowly chews on one of the fish. I hope that is the last mistake I make, but this whole experience is very new to me. But I didn't get punched so was it not that bad? No... it was because I had to be corrected and that is bad enough.

[Ikoma Hikaru]

A few moments later Hikaru comes into the sick bay, a worried look on his face. He looks around and not seeing anybody else he bows slightly and says

"Asahina-san. I got your message. Are you ok?"

Apparently he was more worried about the shugenja who was safe on the ship than himself who had been wondering around town all day.

[Asahina Narumi]

"I am fine," Narumi replies with a faint smile.

"It is good you got my message, but you did not need to come back here. I just wanted you to be aware that there might be a more specific danger than every gaijin in the city to keep an eye out for," she continues. "I did not mean to interrupt your mission Ikoma-sama."

[Ikoma Hikaru]

Hikaru smiles slightly and says

"I thank you for the warning. It does my heart good to know somebody was thinking of me."


Suddenly the Ikoma blushes and says

"Errr....It was no interruption and one cannot be too careful."

[Asahina Narumi]

"Of course Ikoma-sama," she replies. "Since you are here, have you had anything to eat?" She holds up the plate for him, offering some dried fish. "It's the staple snack of the ship but it can surely fight hunger if you have any."

[Ikoma Hikaru]

"No I have not. I rushed strait back when I heard your message." Hikaru says. "I would be most honored to share a meal with you Asahina-san."

Hikaru settles in and accepts a small piece of the fish.


After eating the piece Hikaru says quietly.

"I am glad we have the chance to speak again. I very much enjoyed our last conversation."

[Asahina Narumi]

"Of course, Ikoma-sama, it was interesting and pleasant," Narumi replied.

Then the thought of the others entered her mind. "I wonder how everyone else is doing. Were you in the city when you received my message or were you in the embassy?"

[Ikoma Hikaru]

"I was in the city, walking the streets." Hikaru replies
