Narumi sat on the floor with a small box to set her parchment upon. There were many small scribbles and images upon it as she had taken up her new hobby of drawing this morning and was coming along... well, it was a new hobby so we'll leave it at coming along.

"Mmm." Her face is in a thoughtful contemplation as she looks back and forth from her subject.

Rinzuki, for her part, was doing her best to hold relatively still as she reclined upon the surgery table. "'Something the matter, Asahina-sama? I hope that I'm not moving around too much for you...""

"Oh, no... not at all. I'm still having a hard time with maintaining relative proportions when drawing lines. It's not like when I paint and I fill out from the inside," Narumi replies. "And, Asahina-san is fine," she continues with a pleasant smile.

"If you are having issues with proportions, I would appreciate it if you at least errored on the side of giving me a slightly larger chest," she teases. "And perhaps a smaller bottom as well? If we are going to be inaccurate, we may as well be pleasantly so, mm?"

"I will do my best to err on the side of pleasant," Narumi replied. She contemplated before drawing another line to the mix. "How was your day yesterday after shift? Did you do anything interesting?" If there were other or new interesting things to do on a boat this size, she would like to know.

"I took a bath, but that was about it." She smirks. "Well, I washed myself off with a cloth, which about as close as I'm likely to come for some time."

"Ahh, yes. Small luxuries on a boat," she replies. "It's nice to have something even available. I assume smaller boats are less equipped in that regard."

"More than likely." She takes a deep breath and exhales it slowly. "What about yourself? Any interesting activities falling into your lap?"

"The possibility of exchanging tobacco with Moshi Chihiroko-sama came up. The opportunity to try something new from a different land is always interesting," Narumi said, continuing her work on the sketch.

Rinzuki raises her eyebrow curiously. "Do you think so? I thought that the Crane were typically rather devoted to keeping the Empire's status quo in check."

"But we are also interested in ensuring the prosperous growth of the empire's culture. It is why nearly every Crane receives some sort of artisan training. I like to think that the culture of the other clans is as much the culture of the Empire as the Crane's is, and more than a few Crane would agree. More than a few would also likely scoff at the idea as well..." she says with a small smile.

"Quite a few of us are interested in travelling to see and collect the works and hobbies of other clans. For example, the Shosuro are know for their well-crafted plays. Often times they are not of a subject matter the Crane would show on our own stages but I can't imagine us not having a copy of nearly all of them in our libraries. Especially the ones that gain a good amount of popularity."

She works through her explanation, pleasantly looking back and forth between the paper and Rinzuki.

Running a little later than she had anticipated, Chihiroko arrived in the sick bay with a small sack in her hands.

Seeing Narumi already in conversation, she bowed politely and stayed a respectable distance away so as to not intrude.

Looking up from her work, the priestess notices the Moshi's approach. "Ahh, speaking of that," Narumi stands to return the Moshi's bow. "Greetings Moshi-sama. I hope your day has been well."

She turns back with a smile after the Moshi's greeting, "Perhaps we should rest for a moment to avoid bruises or cramps from holding a pose too long Iuchi-san?" There was authentic care in her voice and the Asahina's own fingers were not quite used to so much drawing yet.

Chihiroko inclined her head and smiled. "Well enough, Asahina-san. Thank you for asking. I hope the Fortunes find you well this day."

Then she paused to let the conversation go as it might between the Iuchi and Asahina.

Rinzuki nods as Narumi's suggestion and turns towards the new arrival. "Good afternoon, Moshi-sama."

"Iuchi-san. My apologies if I interrupted anything. It wasn't my intent." Another bow was given to the Unicorn.

"No apologies are necessary," she says, returning the bow. "Asahina-san and I were merely discussing a few matters regarding culture. Was there something we could do for you?"

"I am well," she responds to Chihiroko.

"I invited her down today for the exchange I spoke of earlier," she smiles to Rinzuki. "We are exchanging some different tobacco flavors... trying something new."

"Oh, how wonderful." Rinzuki smiles warmly towards the new arrival. "Please don't let me disturb you, then."

"You're more than welcome to join our conversation, Iuchi-san. I've nothing to hide." A small grin graced her lips as she pulled a book from her satchel.

"For starters, the book we spoke of." Chihiroko held it out to Narumi.
