Zenko came in a bit of a rush to the galley, heading towards the kitchen with a worried look on his face.

Cook was there, of course, cooking serenely, though the majority of what she was cooking this morning seemed to be soups with little extra. Salt and Pepper lay exhausted in one corner of the kitchen in a heap of fluff. As the Hare came rushing in, Cook glanced up at him without a bit of worry in her eyes. "Hai, Usagi-sama? Here to help with the meal?"

He frowns, "When I return I can, although if we need some miso soup made I'll help with that." He glances back towards the direction he came. "Amaya's just woken up...if she's strong enough, Isawa Owashi-sama said she should have some miso."

"Mmm." Cook responds, walking calmly over to a separate pot that looked to be cooling. "How're the rest holding up?" She started spooning some of the soup into a bowl. Not too much though, be no good to let it go to waste.

"Haven't seen much this morning. We lost a few...managed to carry Amaya out of there before the ship blew." he shakes his head. "Gunso-sama just healed me up of the burns and such I got when I leaped off the ship. Narrow thing, that."

Cook nodded. "Good, Usagi-sama. Have to look out for who we can, when we can. Life on sea is always a danger though." She handed the Hare the small bowl of soup. "Doesn't usually involve exploding demon boats though."

"That's good to hear." he comments, taking the soup bowl. "Do we have what it takes to make mochi? I want to make an offering to Suitengu-kami and Emma-O-kami." he leaves unsaid that it'd be for those who were lost, thinking Cook would get it. "I've made it multiple times before, so you shouldn't have to worry about teaching me."

Cook paused, looking around the kitchen for several seconds before finally nodding. "Hai, you can prepare some mochi for later. Whenever you're ready."

Zenko nods. "This evening then, unless duty takes me elsewhere. My thanks." he offers a smile. "I'll even share the secret family recipe." he winks at that. "Some of the peppers here should even improve it."

Balancing the bowl of miso soup, he carries it back out.

Cook gets a look on her face. "Maybe not so many peppers." She adds quickly as the Hare makes his exit. After he's gone, she sighs a little bit and gets back to work.

"I'm not gonna have anything to do with giving the crew more peppers..."
