A question of sorts. (Day 2 early evening Open.)

Kaito padded into the galley the hour before the proper dinner hour. He had a little something to ask the cook and now seemed as good a time as any. Glancing around the area for a moment he walked over towards the kitchen wondering if he was interrupting things.

The kitchen was bustling with activity. Cook was putting the finishing touches on dinner, which promised to be spicier than usual. She glanced up at the encroaching Yoritomo and gave him a quick bow before she continued about her work, not bothering to say anything unless she was first spoken to.

"Evening." Kaito said as he approached the cook. "How's dinner coming along?"

Cook looked up at the man with slight trepidation. Still, he managed to get a smile. "Well enough that it will be done on time, Yoritomo-sama. Hope you don't mind your food being spicy."

"Not at all Supaisu-san." He replied flashing a grin. "Though I had been wondering if ya had any of the fish I brought in yesterday left or if ya used it all in the meals already."

Supaisu paused and looked around the kitchen. "Hai, I think so, samurai-sama. Always try to keep a little bit left over from anything the samurai bring me. Did you need it for something?"

"Ah well with all the swimming about in the ocean I've been doing today I was feeling a tad bit hungrier then usual so I was gonna see if you could cook a bit of it up for me or if not If I could cook it myself." He asked trying to put on his best smile for the older woman.

The older cook looked the man over for a moment before she returned the smile. "Hai, I can cook it for you. But only if you tell me everything you saw while you were out by that wreck. Seems more than fair, neh?"

Kaito grinned and nodded once in affirmation. "Seems fair enough to me as well, was there anything in particular you wanted to know or did ya just want the details as I recall em?"

"Oh all the little details you can give, Samurai-sama. The more the better." Cook moved off and looked through the collection of food, picking out a piece of fish and throwing it on a spare skillet.

Kaito nodded slightly as he watched the older woman work his mind going over the details before he started. "Well it wasn't just the wreckage of one ship we found but a small fleet. Half a dozen give or take wrecked and sent to the bottom of the ocean,"

"The wreckage was everywhere and me and three others were out looking for survivors and the like but there weren't many bodies to be found like as if most of the men aboard the ships had been captured and taken off somewhere. Don't think it was pirates that did it either as these weren't merchant ships and they didn't take any prize vessels as far as I could tell. We only found one survivor and he was in bad shape likely from the Ivory kingdoms too as that's where the captain said the ships were from after all."

"Only real other thing I saw was what was likely a couple of sharks feeding on some of the remains. We were kinda worried about em while we were rescuing the survivor but they didn't seem to have any real interest in us."

He finished the story rather disjointed or more just a series of facts.

"Half a dozen foreign ships eh? And one survivor? Who all went out there with you, if I may ask, Yoritomo-sama?" The older cook didn't look particularly impressed with the story being told so far. Where was the danger? The mystery? The love story?

"Sharks? Those are always go- Err, dangerous."

"We'll there was one of the Bayushi, never did catch his name but seems to be a alright chap... though he seemed a little slow if ya catch my meaning. That pretty unicorn Iuchi Rinzuki who's spends entirely too much time bouncing seems to be up to something half the time as well. The last was that female Yasuki the one who looks a lil too pretty to be a crab."

"But aye sharks good sized one's two me and Bayushi-san had to keep one eye on them and the other on the gaijin we were saving lest we all be ate."

"An anonymous Scorpion, the pretty Yasuki, and the Horsemaster off her horse. Oh that could make a good story." Cook was already beginning to plan the story in her head, that much was obvious. She flipped the fish with an expert's grace.

"What about this gaijin? What was it like? Monstrous?"

If Kaito minded the cook making a great adventure out of his story it didn't appear so. Plain old stories were fairly boring anyways. "Well he was kind of ugly if that's what ya wanting to know." He said after a moment. "He was all beat up and burnt too and tied to a piece of flotsam with a big ol knife on his belt." Kaito's hand spread apart to indicate the size of the weapon. "Oh and the Iuchi told us to take precautions because there was always teh chance that he wasn't what he seemed. Course he was but." Kaito shrugged slightly. "Can never be too cautious when dealing with gaijin I hear."

"Sounds like he managed to survive a bloody battle then. Tied himself to that flotsam most likely after his ship sank." She smiled. "Not everyone thinks going down with the ship is noble after all."

Cook pursed her lips for a moment. "Now what else could he be... a Fire-breathing demon perhaps? Hmmm."

"Could be Supaisu-san though I might go with some sort of undead abomination. Depending on how frightening you want to make it you can have him do all sorts of things." Kaito replied helpfully this might make for a good story after all.

Supaisu shook her head. "No no no. Undead are done to death." She smirked at the joke. "Everyone expects that. Have to try something different. Might just keep him human. Have to see what he does when he's awake first, neh?"

Kaito chuckled lightly at the womans joke. "Likely so though I imagine he'll speak in gibberish in the very least if that helps?" He offered helpfully speaking in vile tongues and the like was always a interesting story point.

"Some uncultured tongue, no doubt. I think the Captain's learned it though. That'll be good if he ever wakes up." Cook put the finishing touches on the fish and slid it onto one of the plates. Then moved over to the rice and took out a hunk of the white grain and placed that in a bowl.

"Here you go, Yoritomo-sama."
