She'd made sure that the other peasants were aware of the need for practice weapon, but the Kaiu was the next on the list of craftsmen that she needed to speak to. Looking around the hold, she tried to catch a view of gray and blue, or whatever it was the taciturn woman was wearing these days.

The Kaiu wasn't the only one in the hold at the moment; Usan was checking the hold to see if any requests had been sent to the hold instead of the armory. Besides, with the excitement going on, he was expecting the armory to be full of anxious bushi; he might as well work in the hold today and get some work done. Not that he didn't mind chatting while he worked, but he did have a troublesome bow to repair today.

It wasn't that hard to find Seiko, no matter what color of clothing she was wearing - mostly because she had picked the same spot to work on the ballista bolts that she had for the past two days.

She was extremely intent on her work and did not notice the heimin. It was likely that she didn't even notice the Bayushi.

A smart salute with enough of a sound to make sure the two of them heard her before she spoke. "O-samaruai-samas...," she began. "O-Moshi-sama's wantin me t'relay a request t'the woodworkin crafters... If'n ya have a minute." She sounded more than just a bit nervous, but she did at least have her orders. That was reassuring, right?

Usan nodded and stood ready to listen to the orders. He didn't bother talking to the peasant. He was more then content to keep contact with half-men to a minimum; they could do their job and he could do his.

Seiko likewise stood and turned to face the heimin in silence. Her reasoning for being quiet was a bit different - her mind was still thinking about her work and was only half-focused on what some heimin had to say.

Still... she was supposed to be relaying orders, so...

She nodded when the two reacted. Since only the Kaiu faced her, Amaya figured that she was the carpenter of the two and the Bayushi more on knot's team. "'Scuse me, O-Kaiu-sama. Gunso wanted me t'see if they could get some practice weapons together. Polearms specially. Sasumachi... or somethin like that. Man-catcher things. Never used 'em myself, but I think I seen one or two. Do ya think ya can help'r out?"

"Hai," Seiko replied after a moment. "Tell the gunso that if we have any around to use as a model, it would speed the process up, as I am not a weaponsmith. Also, quantity and breakdown requested so I can make sure we have supplies enough."

"I'll see what I can scrounge'p," she said, nodding at the request and making a note to run off after the Moshi. "Meantime, anythin I can do fer ya?" Always a risky thing to ask a samurai, it was still the proper thing to say at about that time, so there it was.

"A quick reply from the gunso that doesn't bring about her displeasure is about all I would wish at this time," Seiko replied. It was a dismissal, if a slightly oddly phrased one at that.

"Consider't done," she said, saluting after she realized what had been said and then saluting to the other. If nothing was said, she'd be on her way in a second.

With the heimin gone, Seiko calmly went back to work. She would be changing tasks soon, but until that time, there was no reason to be sitting around doing nothing.
