[Day 1 – Late Afternoon] Indulgence (Open)

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Such a fate that I prefer not see happen with my own blades as well Usagi-san. This would be one of the rare times I see the Mantis's line of thinking. Mm. I know little enough of the Monkey Clan to know that instead of diversifying themselves on fighting forms, they do so with teachers instead. Their dojos see a rotation of 'tutors' every season rather than rely on the teaching of one. As how they manage to find any form in doing so, that's is a mystery to me."

[Usagi Zenko]

He nods at that. "That is interesting...Perhaps it is an effort in learning which of your teachers styles best suits you, and then using new teachers to help hone that style to the killing edge?" he offers the thought while standing out of the tub and stretching a bit before looking for his undergarment.

"So to speak, at least."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

Hoshi gave a small nod after some thought. “Mm. It could be. Their methods would be impressive if they could filter down the styles of several teachers and claim it as their own. Maybe they are more methodical than erratic? I was given a recommendation to get an offer to teach there once but I’ve choose to be on a ship to ever get close to that mystery.”

[Usagi Zenko]

"Oh? Quite an honor then you were given. My sensei did tell me once that the best way to learn, is to teach." He shakes his head..."Although I admit, I don't know why you'd choose the sea over a nice dojo on land."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

Hoshi gave an unseen shake of her head. "Iie. It was only the possibility of such an honour, nothing in terms of my own school's technique. Just general training. Some favours come sooner than others Usagi-san. At one time, I had a few things on my plate but I've decided that military duty was what best suited me. At least I know one brother envies me for that."

[Usagi Zenko]

"Fair enough, Bayushi-sama." He responds, proceeding on the getting dressed part of after bathing.

"Oh? Your brother wishes to be in the Imperial Legion then?"

[Bayushi Hoshi]

Hoshi stopped with finishing on her own bath once she heard the movement of cloth, deciding to not making the awkward situation of leaving the baths at the same time. She let out an amused breath, which could have been the beginnings of a laugh. My brother wishes for a lot of things now. "-Ah hai...To graduate to an army of some prestige. Or follow our father's footsteps into the Black Cabal. Mm...I don't think he would have liked being at sea though...That part cushions his ego."

[Usagi Zenko]

"Hai, with siblings that's often important. Although with mine...I think my elders are relieved I'm finally off doing something and my youngers are hoping I'll secure them positions of some importance...or will at least return with an interesting story to share with them."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"If stories of sailing through the Sea of Shadows unscathed and faring through foreign seas are not considered interesting to them, I fear that there's nothing that could possibly interest them. That'll be a pity." Hoshi said in a light-hearted tone. "You're not just standing about and taking space, so you should have plenty for both your elders and youngers."

[Usagi Zenko]

He bows in Hoshi's direction in thanks, and while doing so comments, "I know you can't see me, but I'm bowing in thanks to your words of encouragement." He straightens, "If I had sake, I'd propose a toast to making siblings jealous of our deeds, for no doubt we will both accomplish that."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Your effort in telling me you did so is as good as the gesture Usagi-san." Hoshi showed a semblance of a smirk. "Encouragement only comes in how you heard my words, I was just being assuming. I know if you did nothing, they would have whipped you by now and you wouldn't be in so good of a spirit... -Ah...but...I wouldn't mind some sake for a toast, I am very much for the act of making my siblings jealous."

[Usagi Zenko]

He nods at that, straightening and finishing with this clothes before bending over and scanning the ground to make sure he hadn't dropped anything. "It would be a nice change for once, I admit."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Envy is something we should stray away from, it'll be a good change for the better."

[Usagi Zenko]

"Hai." He frowns...now where'd that spare chopstick get to? He scans the ground around the tub for it.

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Good." Hoshi said simply in approval and paused to take in the sounds that were happening from the other side of the screen. Little idea as to what Zenko was stalling for exactly, she picked up her cloth to continue on with where she left off with washing.

[Usagi Zenko]

"Ahhh-ha! There you are!" he mumbles a bit to himself, picking up the chopstick and putting it away, then standing up. "Oh, Bayushi-sama. You don't happen to know if we're having any further training sessions tonight?"

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Iie, I haven't heard of anything planned for us today. Perhaps they thought the day was best fit to get accustomed to your schedules."

[Usagi Zenko]

He nods at that. "Well, my thanks again for the conversation. I'll leave you to finish..." He chuckles a little, lightly. "I suppose it wouldn't look all that good were we both to leave at the same time, no?"

Shaking his head, he begins his way out of the room, not yet outside of hearing distance...

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Hai, only if we are to encounter over-imaginative minds. Thank you, and we'll run each other another occasion. Carry the Fortunes Usagi-san." Hoshi said in parting and then after a pause, returned to finishing up her 'bath' with the water she had left. To think she was actually going to miss this frigid water...
