"Easy 'nough ta tell, after a bit. Ones that don' try ta fit in, ones keepin' their own colors 'stead of the Legion ones all the time...watch'm closest." Knots was doing his best to sound sagacious, a knowing look in his eyes.

Chuckles, working quietly nearby, snorted. "She's got a better plan. Can't be too careful."

Seiko paid no attention to the heimin. She was fixed on repairing the ballista, making sure that she did so carefully.

Everything, and everyone, seemed to fade into the background. The Kaiu continued her work, seemingly mindless of heimin, conversation, and all else.

((OOC: Edit because of in-game time requirements.))

Amaya didn't reply in words. She simply nodded to both of them, setting to her work with a steady and well trained hand. She wasn't about to tell knots this in the hearing of a person who was likely ignoring them, but she currently had little trust for conventions of dress. Every last one of these people could possibly take any level of provocation, and however protected the vessel was, it was still a fact that she was a spade, a hoe, a net. She was one that some people spoke to perhaps, but she was property regardless. She preferred Hanma's method.

"At least the weather's good."

Kugi, soft-spoken as always, was savvy enough to sense an ill mood brewing like a squall and sought to stave it off.

"Just wait 'til full summer comes, you'll feel like a fish that's been broiled when you're below. Surprisingly pleasant just now, though...water's not cold enough to make the wood under your feet feel like ice, sun above not trying to cook you."
