The samurai members of the crew stay in a single large cabin, divided by a curtains into three sections...a common section with tables and cushions and a few books and sleeping quarters for each gender. The Half Moon's two gunso each sleep in the appropriate side in slightly nicer berths than everyone else but otherwise enduring the same conditions as their fellows.

Berths are stacked in pairs along the walls, paired chests beneath the bottom berth holding the clothes and important items of the two who sleep above it. They are practical but not precisely comfortable, especially for active sleepers or those of unusual size, what with the raised 'box' to keep the sleepers in place during high seas and all. More than one samurai has chosen to take a tatami mat to the aft deck on pleasant nights to sleep in instead.
