The stern of the ship is where it's capacity as a ship of war is truly the most obvious. Armaments sit ready, triumphs of Kaiu siegecraft blended with a millenia of maritime expertise by the Imperial shipbuilders. This is the realm of Moshi Kaimenko in times of battle and even the Captain may bow to her expertise. Two skiffs on each side adorn the ship's rails and the storm anchor stands ready to be dropped at need.

Outside of battle, however, the aftdeck is often used as both social area and training yard. When the ballista are anchored in their resting positions, much of the deck is left open, save for the mizzenmast on it's platform. In decent weather, it is not at all uncommon to find crew of all sorts simply taking in the pleasant sea breeze.
