[Day 3, Early Evening] Heads Up - OPEN

[Ichiro Yakusoku]

Yakusoku had been working up on the foredeck but at the mention of announcements she makes her way over to see what's going on. Lingering at the back of the grouped samurai she scratches at the back of her neck idly, gaze turned toward the deck.

[Moshi Kaimenko]

"Aye, though the Captain will be wanting to brief you lot before you're off," she replies as she slicks her hair out of her eyes.

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"Any ways we can tell their Kuge from the rest of em Gunso? Don't plan on picking any fights if I go ashore but it would be nice to know who the important ones are." The mantis asked a moment later.

[Kaiu Seiko]

Seiko had already decided, no matter what the gunso said in reply to Kaito's question. She wasn't getting off the ship. Not if she could help it. Land... she never was much for land, really, not when there was a ship about. And these gaijin... a gaijin port...

She repressed a shudder.

[Moshi Kaimenko]

"Don't know, I've heard some stories about their lil princelings going about disguised," she rolls her eyes expressively, "Frankly, don't care. Best not to stick your hand in a bee's nest in the hope of finding honey."

[Bayushi Nobuyoshi]

At the gunso's response, Nobuyoshi pictures for a moment Kaito sticking his hand in a certain bees nest he's been picturing up Moshi-gunso's backside...looking for honey.

Wise advice, even in that sense. he thinks.

Nobuyoshi nods and sees who have other questions to ask about their situation of the gunso.

[Ichiro Yakusoku]

Where else ya gonna find honey? Yakusoku's half-smile curls onto her lips at the thought. Oh, there was so much wonderful trouble one could get into at a gaijin port. Filthy, violent barbarians; all in all it sounded like her kind of people. No. You're a member of the Legion now, she scolds herself silently, the grin faltering. Be on your best behavior. There'll be people to beat up later.

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

"Right, as most of you know, we found a survivor in the wreck. He woke up this afternoon, told us that his fleet were trying to escape an enemy to send warning up the coast. Seems some poor excuse of a nanny-goat molester has been causing troubles in his homeland. We're going to be docking in Lanka tomorrow to drop him off and see what's up," she announces in that voice that could easily carry across a battlefield.

Gaijin.. Curious man was curious. "Ma'm, how many on board can speak the local?" He wanted to tag along with one, if possible.

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

Qian-Fan had become very hard to read once gaijin had been mentioned. His face the sad and slightly distracted mask it had been when he first boarded the Half Moon.

[Yasuki Himiko]

Himiko listened carefully to the information, processing it carefully. As someone who was on the skiff that found the Gaijin, she was already at least vaguely aware of what was going on, but the new information gave her reason to grin. The opportunity to do battle was always exciting.

[Shiba Naomi]

Naomi fixated her stare at the deck as she absorbed these news, a frown marring her otherwise cheerful features.

Gaijin. Why are we dealing with them? Isn't this against Imperial Law?

[Akodo Amuro]

The Lion simply crossed his arms across his chest as the announcement and questions were asked.

[Kakita Sugita]

Docking... Great... And of course the damn Unicorn would want to be buddy buddy with a Gaijin.

[Moshi Kaimenko]

"The Captain and at least two others," she replies flatly, "We do have something of an Embassy in the city and the Captain will give you the full briefing tomorrow. Any other questions?"

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

Qian-Fan shook his head once and took a step back to indicate he had no questions.

[Shiba Naomi]

Naomi sighed and shook her head as well. She didn't want to question the Captain's decision... he must know if this was breeching the Imperial Laws or not, after all, and she didn't know all of them that well.

[Iuchi Xiao Hua]

Two other... but whom. Iuchi was already feeling antsy.

[Moshi Chihiroko]

Chihiroko wondered if she was one of the two who could speak the local language but otherwise kept her mouth shut.

[Kaiu Seiko]

Seiko wondered if it was safe to disappear, or whether Kaimenko had more in store for them.

Better safe to stick around a bit longer.

[Moshi Kaimenko]

"Go on then, scat," she makes a dismissive gesture and turns to resume her watch.
