Seeking Advantage (Day 2 Late Morning Open)

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"I know that one Bayushi-san and live octopus tentacles as well if ya were wanting to try it." He said with a smile. "Course there isn't much of a recipe to it and Ikizukuri isn't the easiest thing to make properly but I'm a fair hand with a knife."

Looking back at the crab he smiles. "Other then that I know a few recipes mostly ships food though and mantis cuisine but never really learned from a cook in the empire. Course Toritaka-san the meals may be rather limited as I'll mostly be working with fish generally speaking the ships larder is off limits without permission after all. So your looking at a lot of sashimi and the like."

[Toritaka Punchiru]

"I would be most pleased with such, Yoritomo-sama. A few of my countrymen are quite hungry after consuming the limited ration, and I am certain that there are others who would benefit from supplements to their diet."

Punchiru thinks for a moment.

"We should be landbound by then. Hopefully I can purchase some seemly vegetables or something at that point. I would say we could begin the arrangements after we leave harbor there, if that is agreeable to you, Yoritomo-sama."

[Toritaka Punchiru]

He adds as an afterthought

"I do have a net if you need one, but I doubt you do."

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"That should be fine Toritaka-san just give me a day or two notice on when you might want me to go to make sure I don't have other things planned." A little time to plan also gave him a chance to try and wrangle some company for the trip but that went unsaid.

"As for nets and poles I Have both and the ship keeps a supply as well. Now if you are ever wanting me to try and catch squid and octopus or the like that will take special gear for the task so I'll have to see if it's available from the supply boat. But we'll talk about what needs to happen there if it ever comes up."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

Hoshi shook her head, "Iie, it's fine. I was just curious really, just something I thought Toritaka-san might be interested in. And there seems to be a cue forming up when it comes to trading shifts and fishermen. I'm starting to think that we probably won't see you at all around here Yoritomo-san."

[Yoritomo Kaito]

"It's a useful skill to have at sea Bayushi-san, but I don't figure on trading away all of my shifts. I'd likely get a bit lazy if all I did was fish all day." He said with a small grin.

[Bayushi Hoshi]

Only a bit lazy? "Oh. Good Yoritomo-san. I almost feared that you trying to ditch us for company with the fish instead."

[Yoritomo Kaito]

Kaito would much rather talk to the fish then the Bayushi but he left that unsaid. As well as several other potentially scathing comments he could of made, the lady was pretty after all. "Well it's nice to know I will be missed in my occasional absence from my duty station Bayushi-san. I'll try to to be gone too often."

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Occasional absences are still absences Yoritomo-san but I'm glad that you'll be keeping us in your thoughts. I'll be sure to save you a spot by the map room. We'll wave to you from here." She seemed to smile with her tone. "I don't doubt Toritaka-san will be productive here after my small chat with him, he'll have much to in your place. Ne? Toritaka-san?"

[Toritaka Punchiru]

"I assure you my efforts will astound even your high standards, Bayushi-sama."

Punchiru offers a deep bow to both.

[Bayushi Hoshi]

"Very good." Hoshi chuckled at that with simple words of approval. "That's good Toritaka-san."
