To be fair.... slighting does not encompass physical assault. You encourage that sort of behavior, and the far less numerous samurai population is only inviting revolt.

Not having seen the thread, I don't have an opinion. There are good reasons and bad reasons to kill a peasant. Legion Law states that the peasant defers a death sentence until he/she can be replaced at port.

Killing the peasant right then puts the samurai in the wrong. But putting in that it MUST be done at port is within the samurai's right. Just don't expect it to ingratiate you with the rest of the peasants on the ship if you do.

You have a reference on that?

And no one throwaway line in this thread viewtopic.php?f=11&t=93 is not enough, scrolling down to eta and peasants. There is nothing about 'going to port' or any of that nonsense written down.
