The hatch opens out. But closing it will be a complex action. Putting a barrel of any worthwhile weight and size will require a Strength check and another complex action.

Most likely the one attacking jayant. Depending on your water ring/full attack status, etc.

But then, I don't really know

You should be able to get to at least one of them this round. I'd make the rolls, and a post with your preferred order of targets. Then Volsung can edit in who you were able to hit when he gets up tomorrow
