Well, everyone else is doing it, so if anyone has any questions about Spooks, go ahead.

Because cats on a ship are good luck, and he wanted as much good luck as possible.

Spooks was someone I wanted to chat with more but I never really got around to it. Still I liked the man even if he did bring a couple of kittens on board without permission.

No real questions to ask though I am curious if spooks had any reason for being so superstitious.

He knows that there are evil spirits out here that want to tear him to pieces, it's a curse that many in his familly have had in the past and he was told about it by a priest at a young age. Most of his prayers and wards against evil spirits were taught to him by his great grandfather who once suffered the same curse. It's doubtful that any of them would actually protect him from a malicious spirit but belief in their effectiveness is what lets him sleep at night. He firmly believes that his precautions against dangerous spirits are effective and that he is safe as long as they are in place, all his other charms and prayers for good luck are to make sure that no random occurence causes a breach in his protection and allows the spirits to get through to him.

Interesting. Nice detail Choukichi. So, what did he think of the silly Dragon? Errr, Tomoe?

Also, what did he think of the ship officers?

He didn't have enough time with her to really form too much of an opinion, but he thought she was amusing and would have like to talk to her again, hopefully in a setting she would find less uncomfortable.

Captain - Didn't want cats on the ship, but seemed pretty nice and competent otherwise, so Choukichi was pretty neutral about him.

O-Washi - Friendly and helpful, Choukichi liked him a lot.

Kaimenko - He really didn't like her, not for the bitchyness part, but because of when she shoved Hikaru overboard, he thought it was really dangerous and dissaproved of any reckless actions like that.

I think the brief interaction Seiko and Spooks had was probably one of the most sane I have seen of Spooks the entire game. He showed up, he offered to help, and that was pretty much it.

Any insight on Spook's thoughts on Seiko?

I never intended for him to come off as too insane, just a little over paranoid, and if the game had progressed further you would have seen more of that and less of the insane paranoia that he disaplayed early game mostly due to the proximity of the Sea of shadows. When you absolutely know that terrible spirits want to eat you, that place has got to be terrifying.

Not too much to say about Seiko since they only had a short scene, but he thought she was nice enough, and in general rather likes the Crab.
