Seeing no other targets, Amaya clamped her sai between her teeth and began to climb up the ropes towards the only monkeys that she could see. She had a grim look in her eyes as she did so, expecting that others would join her.

From the nest above, the sound of piping ceased, replaced by a voice hissing something in the local tongue as Amaya's ascent was noted. Moments later, there was the thrum of a bow string and an arrow flew past Amaya, missing her by several feet to thunk into the deck.

Figuring that Amaya may need some assistance in clearing out the crow's nest, Yakusoku starts climbing, staying as near the mast as possible in hopes of getting some cover from anymore arrows coming their way.

Well aware that just because the deck wasn't swarming with enemies now didn't mean it'd stay that way, Hida Musasha elected to enable swifter assent by his allies, all while guarding himself as well as he could.

Undaunted by the arrow whizzing off into the distance, Amaya shrugged the one blow that did strike home off as best she could (Spending void to reduce damage along with reduction). However, with the force of it, shefelt her hands slipping and gripped the netting as best she could, trying not to fall. Failing that, she crashed soundly to the ground,taking a nasty welt.

With Amaya down, the archer now took aim at the Badger. The shaft winged downward, the fog throwing off the archer's aim.

Seeing Amaya fall and an arrow cut through the fog near her, Yakusoku glares up at the archers. "Fuckin' ignorant, unwashed barbarians," she murmurs to herself, continuing to climb her knuckles cracking and popping as she pulls herself upward, undeterred.

Fog shifted near a stack of barrels, edging toward the large Hida who was endeavoring to bring more of his friends aboard.

The big man, unaware, had his armor to thank when a swarthy man with a wickedly curved dagger tried to sink it into his back and clanged off good Crab steel instead.

The second archer winged his shot at the yet-climbing Ichiro, once again managing to strike his foe despite the fog. The shaft sank home in the unprotected place between the guard of forearm and shoulder, nearly pushing through the other side. {19 damage}

"What're you waiting fer, an invite?!?" she practically shouted, lunging to her feet and charging the remaining distance while under the guard of the massive Hida. The look in her eyes that brushed past him was of one who very obviously thought that Musashi was completely mad. Her kama was in her hand, pulling back and racking in a vicious, cruel and bloody forward arc. As the blade struck at the man's flesh between the plating of his very light and flimsy armor, it sheared through chords and raked upwards through flesh and sped onwards. The violent forward arc left her vulnerable, but sank deeply into his own body.

They're all insane. One minute, all wanna be my friend. Next minute they let me go quite as a mouse and it's back to O-sama, and they're killing one of us. Next they're protecting me like I'm some freaking priestess instead of bashing this ape's head in like a ripe melon. They're all mad. I'm surrounded by deranged ninnies.

Somewhere in the mist, metal creaked and the mist parted around the form of another warrior, this one more graceful than her fellows as she moved toward the rope, hoping to catch any climbing up by surprise.*

Up above, another shot was fired, for the lady Badger was drawing dangerously close. It sang toward her but bounced off of her armor, doing nothing to pause the ascent.

*Remember: Spot checks have a 10 TN penalty due to the fog!

Yakusoku glares up at the figures above her, eyes narrowing further as the arrow bounces harmlessly off her. continuing her ascent the Badger finally makes her way up to the crow's nest, intent on quickly and painfully dispatching a couple of archers.

The man Amaya had injured whirled on her, taking advantage of her lack of guard to try and sink his blade into the already wounded woman. Though the large Crab did his best to intercept the man, the snarling gaijin managed to land his blow, sinking the wicked-looking blade deep into Amaya's chest, dropping the ashigaru to the deck in a welter of gore. {{40 Damage}}

The big man's eyes gloss over as his shipmate falls dead before him. Another Rokugani falls to the evils from beyond the Empire, and he'd seen it a thousand times before. This Gaijin was no better than a Shadowlands beast, and was about to feel his bones shatter.

Musasha takes two steps and swinging with both hands, he whips his tetsubo over his right shoulder in a tight, unbelievably fast arc. (F*cking Invisible Castle signed me out as it rolled the dice, cutting off my notes on the roll. 2 raises called to damage vs. TN 16 (Final TN 26)) The massive weapon crushes down upon the man's neck, crunching through bone, sinew, lung and spine.
