The presence had a very obvious affect on the beast men. Every one of them, no matter how injured, dropped down to their knees and threw their heads back and howled, totally ignoring those who fled around them.

The captives stared at the huge man with blood, black and red, running down his armor. To them, he seemed almost a monster himself. Still, his intent was clear and they ran, as best they could, for the hatch. In this flight, they were joined by the three remaining members of the guard, including Jayant Utpal.

The robed man stopped laughing and let his hood fall back. Beneath, he was handsome, though of later years, and had an aristocratic bone structure. He smiled beatifically at the Hida, twisted yet true joy on his face. "Kali Ma welcomes all, my new brother."

The big man spit in the wizards face, and grabs a flaming cask of gun powder. "Let me wish her a hearty hello for you."

The Hida dives into the portal, flaming gunpowder only moments from going off...

As the Hida arrives in the presence of the evil Goddess, he screams defiantly as he chucks the gunpowder at her face...

The dark wizard's prayer resumed and, moment's later, the ship exploded in a massive ball of flames, so vast that those who did not make it free scarcely even felt the journey from this life to that which followed...a brutal destruction of their very souls by the dark power of Kali Ma, summoned by her faithful.
