[Usagi Zenko]

"Go ahead. I'll keep looking for awhile." He comments, swimming on to the next thing floating, stopping occasionally to see if there were any flailing limbs. Soon he'd have to go to shore...get Amaya to the ship...

[Mirumoto Tomoe]

"Good luck" I call out half heartedly.

When I am back to shore I add the wakizashi to the katana. I look back towards the water. How many had we lost? I could not be sure in all the confusion. It dawns on me - this was my first real battle. It was hardly glorious. How had I escaped unscathed when so many others had not? Those that knew fighting or leadership far better than I. I do not even have a scratch on me to show I felt pain in battle as they did. Suddenly feeling very weary I head back towards the ship, taking the weapons with me. Each footstep saps my strength due to the weight of my clothing thanks to all the water. I would usually be fine with this but now it all just feels so useless. The enemy had wanted us to attack so they could kill us in a kamikaze attack and cause further confusion in the city. We had likely just played right into their hands. My desire for us to leave increases yet further. I will always consider Lanka to be full of nothing but bad memories...

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

He'd been underwater at the time of the explosion. That many fire kami gathering gleefully was more than enough warning. Now Qian-Fan made the slow swim back towards the docks.

[Usagi Zenko]

Seeing movement briefly, the Hare turned his swim towards it, wondering why things were as cold as they were.

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

Zenko could probably make out Qian-Fan's features in the flickering light cast by the remnants of the burning ship. As he wasn't particularly looking for others himself, the Agasha remained ignorant of the Hare's presence.

[Usagi Zenko]

The Hare paused a moment, to swim around a burning chunk of ship that smoldered its way past on the waves. Or at least, he tried to do so, as the wave helped encourage him to get covered in ash and other horribleness, before he could continue his swim.

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

Qian-Fan was staying well clear of any debris from the ship. Unburnt gaijin pepper could be anywhere and could ignite at any time with the amount of burning wreckage about. Still he heard the faint splashing of a possible survivor and halted his slow crawl to the docks.

[Ichiro Yakusoku]

Yakusoku looks around a bit, eying the devastation and waiting for the ringing in her ears to cease. Once it passed she heads off toward the Half Moon, holding Jishaku's daisho at her side. Hopefully there'd be a healer there. If not, at least she'd be away from what was left of this place.

[Jayant Utpal]

Jayant came into view of some of the many fires that were still floating on the water's surface. With one arm he stroked towards the docks, while with the other he carried another of the Ivory Kingdom's soldiers who looked to be unconscious and bleeding from the head. Jayant paid little attention to looking for other survivors at the moment. First thing to do was to get to shore, then he could worry about others.

[Usagi Zenko]

"He...hey! You alright there? You understand me?" He goes under a moment, then comes back up.

[Jayant Utpal]

Jayant glanced over at the Hare as he bobbed in the water and with a look of some annoyance, he turns towards the Hare and swims slowly towards him. "Can you get to shore?" He yells out in that same slightly accented Rokugani.

[Usagi Zenko]

"Yes!" He turns about from where he seemed to have been waving towards the Agasha. "I'm looking..." he turns his head aside from a wave, "for survivors."

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

Recognising the voice, Qian-Fan began his swim back towards the docks.

"I am fine, Usagi-san."

The gaijin are ignored.

[Jayant Utpal]

Jayant does not stop paddling through the water slowly, though he turns back towards the dock. "Too much... in the water." He spits out a bit of salt water that had gotten in his mouth. "Get to shore!"

[Usagi Zenko]

The Hare, at this time wounded, cold and the adrenaline draining from his system, does just that.

[Agasha Qian-Fan]

Qian-Fan follows him to the docks in silence.

[Jayant Utpal]

Jayant followed the two Rokugani to shore, hauling the unconscious man out before he pulled himself out, though it was with considerable effort on his part. The unconscious man had a rather large head wound that was likely the source of his state. Jayant's right arm was slick with blood almost as soon as he was out of the water from a deep cut, and he was using that one to hold high on his left side where in the firelight it was easy to see the sign of blood darkened clothing.

"You should return to your ship. Receive healing." He says, a little labored. "Support should arrive soon. See to survivors, and enemies. You did well."

[Usagi Zenko]

Zenko nods. "You and yours as well. You have my respect." He bows, then moves to pick up his daisho and Hoshi's, before going to carry Amaya back to the boat, one footstep at a time.

A grimace remained on his face the entire time.
