Set upon a rise with a veiw over the city sits the Temple District. Palatial temples of shining white marble mark this region apart from the rest of the city, as does the sense of awe toward those who dwell here. The Brahmin, mouthpieces of the Gods, are held in highest respect and though they dress only in robes, those robes are made of the finest materials and their steps are watched always by the zealotic Temple Defenders.
While every Temple is gracious in size and build, not all are welcoming. There is one blot on this pristine landscape, a black jet structure that all avoid even so much as looking at, much less speaking of. It's servants, if it has any, go forth in shadow lest they be punished by the rest of Lanka.
