Early Evening 4 - What the Hell is this Place?

[Yoritomo Choukichi]

Choukichi answers the questions politely and cheerfully, not at all bothered by them.

"We have some mainland holdings mostly held by the clans other famillies, but the majority of our holdings are on the isles, so yes most of my familly spends a lot of time at sea."

[Amaya]

"No wonder th'cap an one'f th'gunso are that color too," she said, definitely seeming satisfied by the answer. "So, I spose we've molly coddled round all this crap long enough. Ya got any clue what we're sposed t'be lookin fer round here, other'n strange monkey gods?"

[Yoritomo Choukichi]

"Anything that might give us a better idea of what is happening, and I think possibly more urgently, what the opinion and reaction to our arrival is. I've listened enough to hear the rumors of what is going on, and it's no different than what we learned from the gaijin we rescued so far. I don't think listening to the commoners is going to get us much in that regard, but who knows what they think of us, we need to know if they consider us allies, not just the ruling authorities, but the mob of people that could riot if the situation detoeriorates."

[Amaya]

"I'd bet they think we're what we know they are," she muttered, shrugging. "Things go south, we put t'sail, cut our way out an make for th'high seas. There's good odds a mob'd try to burn th'ship one way or another. Some'f these ... things don't seem too far from desperation."

[Yoritomo Choukichi]

Choukichi nods his head in agreement, but doesn't give further voice to the idea of a mob burning or capturing their ship.

"Up to the Captain really, things go south we may end up staying here to try and help out."
